Is Bleach still in filler mode at the moment? I don't follow the manga and was a tad curious since it fell off my radar a few months back.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Would you happen to know if/ when the fillers would end? The only thing I'm glad for though is that the fillers I did actually see were better then ALL of the Naruto filler, which "thank god"- ly enough, are almost done.

I think the fillers are getting slightly better. There's been some more action, and less talk. As for when it's gonna end, I'm thinking it wont end for a while. Probably a couple months? maybe even longer.

The filler won't be ending anytime soon. The manga isn't very far in the next arc.
Personally, I think the filler arc is decent. It's not great, and its not up as good as the manga based material but its passable. It's far better than the crap Naruto gets.
While I enjoy the current arc, at some point I would like to see some more filler like those random Don Kanonji episodes during the SS arc.

It's always with Bleach that I hear that people actually like the filler. I always hear people complain about the Naruto Filler and don't even start with the amounts of complaints about the One Piece filler. The people who hate the Ryuukotsu arc alone are probably enough to fill up an entire state.

I don't consider these to be even put in the same category as the current Naruto filler. I'm currently really enjoying the Bounto arc, new character designs, and storyline elements are great, so I look forward to the new episodes every week

I think one of the mains reasons why people despise fillers is that the shortlived villains in the filler arcs are tediously weak and can't be taken seriously because he/she is defeated too easily. Judging by how strong that Kariya guy is, I think Ichigo will have a reasonably tough time - which is a good thing. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Bounto arc.

Given the pattern from the Naruto filler arc, I think 26 episodes is a safe bet for the length of the fillers. As for me, I haven't had much heart to continue Bleach after -------- stopped subbing it, but through episode 71, the filler material isn't "terrible" by any means.

Naruto is LONG past 26 episodes of filler. The Naruto filler started around 140 and it is now in the 180s. And the previous filler arcs were quite short at only 3-6 episodes.
Since the SS arc ended in the manga only a month or two before it ended in the anime, I think we will be seeing filler for a while. It will surely be AT LEAST 26 episodes. I would not be suprised if it is twice that.

i don't like the bleach fillers that much because they make the characters much weaker. it's not bad, but i just don't like it.
i can't compare it to naruto fillers because i didn't watch any naurto fillers.

Not sure what pattern you mean? The Naruto filler episodes have been running for 45 episodes now (episode 136-181) and still going strong looks like.

Ditto. I'm currently enjoying Naruto's Hidden Star Village arc over the Bountu arc in Bleach.
I'm getting picky, but the 73-74 episode had an interesting mess-up (unless someone could explain it away?): When Ichigo and the rest are choking on the water because their bodies are made out of 70% water--Ichigo's true body wasn't there, so that doesn't make sense on how he was affected. I think that was a major mistake on the anime writers' parts.
I was intrigued by this whole storyline at first, even though it's about vampires, but now it's starting to wear on me.

To be honest, I haven't really been able to really get into any of the fillers for either series. Naruto's first filler episodes were so gawd awful.... and those pretty much spoiled me for the Bleach episodes, though i did try. Unfortunately, even the sad life that I lead at the moment (before winning the lottery, buying my own private island and eventually ruling the world) demands a certain amount of my time so eh. Can't watch as much as I used to. Though I have to agree, I would love more of those Don Kanouji episodes in Bleach. Loved that one with the Lion JETO!!!

I think the biggest problem with the Bleach fillers is that the fighting style isn't very fitting. People are much more interested in the shinigami fights than the dolls. However, it seems like that's being corrected by giving a hint of Kariya's strong powers and the idea behind Ichinose. Not to mention that Ichigo did actually show us some skills in the recent couple of episodes.
So I'd say that it's getting better.
