Last year I've read somewher in the ANN news that Berserk 2nd season is due to be produced and aired by May/JUne 2003.
As for now, nowhere on the net could I find anything about it. Anyone knows whether it was just a rumour or is it trully ment to be produced? thanks in advance. |

It's a rumour. The next part of Berserk was simply too violent to animate, plus being on a midnight timeslot didn't help/. There's a dreamcast game that continues shortly after the manga finishes, and the manga which is due out in october

i had personally confirmed with an industry member (whose name i've forgotten since; i've probably got it around here somewhere...) that yes, a 2nd season of berserk was in pre-production.
that's not a confirmation of product (as we've seen, things can even be in post-production and yet never make it to the masses). odds are the japanese company was looking for financial backing, and showed early designs of a 2nd season of berserk to the company.. but failed to acquire enough funding to push berserk 2 into actual production. i don't think we ever gave a date of release; at least I don't recall writing one. it would've been silly to offer a date over a year ago, anyway.. the industry doesn't release dates that far in advance, even in Japan. |
