Which show do you think is cooler, Inuyasha or Full Metal Alchemist?
I think theyre both pretty good, but Inuyasha is getting just a tad to old...and Full Metal Alchemist has already ended...

Well it hard to relate the two because of there distinct differences. For me Inuyasha is cooler because of the depth and how long it has been going on. Full metal is a good show because of the political aspects. For my preference, Inuyasha is cooler, but they both are great shows.

Did you not know about the FMA movie that comes out on DVD in October?
Personally, I prefer Fullmetal. It's got an original, compelling story (not this generic shonen/shoujo stuff) great animation that doesn't look like the standard anime style (only a few characters have gigantic, kawaii eyes, like Winry and the Elric brothers) and very likable characters. Also, it doesn't drag on with the same repetitive battles like Inuyasha with its 150+ episodes and 3 movies. Inuyasha was all right when it first premiered back in '02, but I think it's failing in ratings now, or at least not doing as great as it was doing about 4 years ago.

Wrong forum. This should be in Anime.
...
Ehh, IY IS too repetitive, but the InuBrats are so rabid IY has an even worse reputation than it deserves. FMA is just solidly good, and ended well.

You got that right. I don't even think the IY fangirls care about the story, they just like to go on and on about how Inuyasha and "Sesshie" are their "mancakes" and "bishies," whatever that means. They're like a whole new species of animal.
EDIT: "InuBrats". That's good. I like "Narutards" better, though.

Well, 120 epds back I would have said inuyasha was better but now I would have to say FMA its got more action and a better story. Plus the characters in FMA are more complex.

I have to say that I've been a fan of Inu Yasha for a while now. I will admit when I watch the DVDs, if there is an episode that I remember and don't like, I'll skip over it and go on to the next episode. I will also admit that I'm wishing for the group to FINALLY kick Naraku's butt and get the whole thing over with!
Fullmetal Alchemist is VERY good and just packed with lots of fun and information. When I watch the episodes on DVD, there have been times I've gone "I don't remember that!?!" So in some ways, it's too packed with wholesome goodness.
Both are very enjoyable but I don't think that they can truely be compared to each other.

I used to be obsessed with InuYasha back when it first came out, but now I find the show to be dull and boring as heck. It really sucked in my opinion, and the fangirls/boys at my school made me hate the series more.
However, I really like Fullmetal Alchemist. It has a plot and it isn't repetative. I don't think there's an episode where I ever got bored watching it.

FMA for sure, it had just enough episodes about 51 and doesn't seem to drone on and on like InuYasha. Plus, InuYasha's about as complex as Pok'eMon--"AH!! InuYasha, there's a demon attacking the village, use your gianormous Tetsuaiga to kill it!" or "InuYasha, I want to kiss you".
things it would need to be good:
*Decent dubs (if I hear Kagome yell "INUYAHSA" pronounced like that once more I'll barf up my breakfast)
*Shorter and less repetitive storyline
*Less linear story
*Less characters that don't mean anything
*Less rabid fans who run around raving about how "awesome it is" (sorry, to my friends who like it)
*Less ambiguous shojo or shounen classification
*Less romance/romantic comedy at when unnecessary (Just when they are about to reach Naraku, Miroku grabs Sango's butt and walks around for about half the episode with a red handmark on his face)
*More variety in battles (one strike with a sword, one toss of a boomerang, one arrow, it's boring...can't there be cool techniques? Even Pokemon has that.)
FMA beat IY any day.

Full Metal, more mature less of the hassle. The story was well laid out, and they knew when to apeal to kids and when to keep it adult. The animation is stunning and the conceptual ideas for the Full Metal universe are well thought out and interesting down to the last state alchemist. I found it enjoyable, happy, sad, shocking, intriguing and overall one of the best anime I have seen of modern times.
IY is way too long, and I just lost interest (well, that and funding). I didn't want to watch another DBZ-type gigantic Saga show... which is what IY is, a long drawn out story with so many episodes where nothing happens (ie filler), such as in DBZ where it takes goku somewhere in the vicinity of 6 episodes to (1) realize he can become a ssj, (2)watch his friends die, and then (3)start yelling, (4)goes into a montage of the past, (5)comes back to the present and you get a strand of golden hair, and then (6) more yelling followed by a transformation to ssj and the episode ends... no fighting what so ever... IY is exactly like this, I don't remember how many times I have seen the same few clips, or recounts of Sango's brother dying, or killing their family, or any variation of that... It is just upsetting!
I admit, I was caught for a while there with Sessoumaru's char, but if he wasn't in it, I didn't want to watch the episode... Then it started getting real kiddy and more repeats of the aformentioned scenes, and I just couldn't take it.
Full Metal has a better storyline and besides, they knew when the series would reach critical mass and have to end, IY didn't.

Full Metal Alchemist would kick Inuyasha in the balls. I like the darker theme to it, the forbidden subject of alchemy, and the fact that you can actually inflict pain on your enemy. how many times do we have to watch Inuyasha chop Naraku in half and he still won't die?

Seeing as how the author didn't tell us why they're "both pretty good," I'm afraid I'll have to lock this. My apologies for destroying everyone else's efforts.
Ange Killer, please remember to be a little more detailed in your opening posts next time. Not only does it contribute well to discussions, but it also lets people take you a little more seriously . Thanks.
