I've seen the series all the way through and in the last episode
spoiler[Kyo and Kyoshiro fight who is the victor or did they rejoin in the same body and become one?] Thank You in advance for any help with my question. |

I've always been of the opinion that spoiler[Kyo won.] In the English dub that's what the voice sounded like to me at least.
Of course, it may be one of those endings that whoever you liked the best wins. |

As far as I can tell, the ending was meant to be open ended; it's something we really don't know for sure, but can take a guess. I'd say it was spoiler[Kyo, but I only say that because the voice used sounded like Kyo's].

I agree with the others. I watched it subbed, but spoiler[it still looked and sounded like Kyo at the end. Also, who is to say that I'm right or wrong(because you really can't), but I never quite understood how Kyoshiro and Kyo were put back in Kyoshiro's body in the beginning; so perhaps it happened again? I don't know.]

If you want to know, the real ending, read the manga. It's around 30 volume worths and still on-going. The anime was garbage and simply a poor adaption of the manga, because too many bad guys turn into monster.

The manga was/is better than the anime counter-part? I think I've heard this before else-where. I've been wanting to check it out, but I don't think I can make the 30+ volume commitment. I kind of liked the series, if you can get over the vast amounts of stills, the story is pretty good, and the characters are really interesting as well. I liked the fact the enemies transformed, reminded me of my younger years with transformers and voltron... I know it's not the same but I figure you guys know what I mean. I also saw the ending as being open-ended. But then again I saw s-CRY-ed open ended as well, although most people claim spoiler[Kazuma raised his fist in victory. I always saw the fist as a sign of beginning a battle, in this case continuing.] It all depends which character you liked the most. |

No, the anime is pretty boring and a lot of people can agree with this. The enemies turning into Monster is done in a very lame way. Also the animation itself wasn't that great. As for a manga, it's a decent shonen manga. It has a balance of action, comedy and fanservice (kind of like Getbackers). The whole concept of the series is about who's stronger or who's faster. It's pretty interesting and humorous at first, but drag around volume 7-11. And collecting all 30 volume is a lot to invest in. There's just better series out there.
To get your samurai fix though: Vagabond or Blade of the Immortal are epic masterpieces. Both won several award in Japan as well as getting nominated (Vagabond) and winning (Blade of the Immortal) the Eisner Award in the states. |

Well, the way i see because i watched both Japanese and English versions is that somehow they rejoined back into one body, first off because i dont think Yuya wouldv'e chosen the battle victor if it was only one of them because they never told us who she really loved out of the two of them and she also didn't like them fighting, and second because even though the voice sounded like Kyo the way he was acting you could say it was Kyoshiro, and yes i do think it is a very open-ending.
