Well, the longest series I have watched completely is Samurai Champloo which was only 26 episodes but I was surfing the encyclopedia and some shows have a incredible 400+ amount of episodes. I was just wondering what was the longest anime, episode wise, you have ever watched (you have seen every episode).

I believe any with 400+ are more kiddy like in nature. Geez 300 or 400...
Though the whole dragonball universe is something in the midst of 500 or 600 right? I think. Naruto's up at 17x now and One Piece is up there with Naruto, I'm not quite sure how many it's at as I don't follow OP.
I saw up to the end of the Cell Saga of DBZ on cartoon network years ago. I've also seen all of Naruto. Under that..nothing quite that long. Kenshin and FMA, and about 100 episodes of Inuyasha.
As you can see from those that I just listed, they're mostly shounen directed at older children/young teens. I've seen very little anime that has even a 50-100 episode kind of length with anything remotely adult or mature about it. Maybe if they have a bunch of sequels like Ghost in the Shell. Two movies, two series, and I heard an OVA is coming out for the 2nd gig.
I think it's in everyone's interest not to produce 400+ episode anime often =P They're just not practical.

I don't think one piece will ever end. And that's not a bad thing either

Well, the longest anime I've seen would be Pokemon. I've seen around 300 episodes of it. They're up to 400 something in Japan but I haven't been keeping up with it and don't really expect to anymore. Technically, the second longest series I've seen would be Galaxy Angel. With all the specials and everything it would add up to about 126 or so episodes. Each episode is 12 minutes long though so it really would be like watching a 63 episode series. They're coming out with a new season soon so it's actually still getting longer.

Well GAX is the newest season so it really should come last. It's not out on DVD or has been licensed. The order they come in is : Galaxy Angel, Galaxy Angel Z, Galaxy Angel A, Galaxy Angel AA, Galaxy Angel X, then Galaxy Angel II which should be coming out soon. But in all honesty, it really matter what order you watch them in as there's not really any ongoing plot. The addition of new characters would be the only reason to watch them in order. Out of them, all of GA, GAZ, and GAA have been licensed and released on DVD. GAA recently came out as a box set, but for some reason I have noticed Best Buy has failed to get any in, possibly because of the not so great sales of the previous seasons. I bought mine from Fry's Electronics for 26.99. I actually think it's a great deal, I don't think I've ever heard of a "new to DVD" product being released as a box set for such a low price ever. It includes 27 episodes which is equal to 13.5 episodes for a normal series. But, uh, there aren't any box sets for the rest of the series so you'll have to buy them indivitually. I don't think seven DVDs is that bad though, not compared to FMA which is gonna be around 14 DVDs or something. If we're lucky, they'll license and come out with the next series in box sets too.
Edit: Edited to answer Nyuuchan's first question which I realized I never really answered.

Galaxy Angel. However it's 15 Minute Double Epsiodes with extremely little continuity between any of the episodes.
I am still not sure what I still watch this show. I do seemyself picking up GAX when it comes out.
Otherwise.....
Gundam Seed --> Gundam Seed Destiny :- After all the series does to continue on from each other.
Otherwise.....
Bleach :- Up to 70 something episodes.

Technically, the longest anime I've seen in its enterity would be Digimon which has around 205 episodes and eight movies, but with the expection of the movies and some episodes of Digimon Frontier, I've mostly only seen Digimon dubbed. Subtitled-wise, the longest anime I've seen in its enterity has been Sailor Moon with 200 episodes, three movies, two mini-movies, and three TV specials.

I've seen Detective Conan for about the first 100 episodes or so.
InuYasha for about 130 out of its 160 or so episodes.
Pokemon for a lot, but not full.
All 95 episodes of Kenshin.
All 70 episodes of Bleach so far.

Man o man, for me its got to be Prince of Tennis. I think it went up to 177 episodes, with the usual 25 minute episodes. The training camp stuff took up the majority of the time.
Man... I wasted 62 hours (approximately) watching Prince of Tennis. O well, some of the tips were quite helpful, presuming I was able to pick out the unrealistic stuff from the real stuff.

I'd say Pokemon or Digimon, but I have no idea how many I watched- they were dubbed, and it was a while ago. I stopped watching both at around age 11- Pokemon got boring and Digimon changed a bunch and got demented.
I'm not sure though, so I'll say Naruto (though it's not done, and I stopped watching the fillers after they got annoying). Longest one that I can count.
