There also seems to be a re-release of Utena coming up:

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=CPM006228
--shows as preorder, with release date 2-28

I saw this on CPM's site as well--it's the first 13 eps + movie for a cheaper price. Apologies if this has been added without me
noticing.

EDIT: Glancing ahead at the releases, it looks like March 28th is going to be D-Day for the stores. . .you have Bebop Remix 6, the first disks of Mai Hime and Naruto, the last disk of Madlax, the Astroboy collection, and other high-profile series like Samurai 7 and Hikaru no Go. Oh yes, and it's also the day that they say they'll be releasing FF7:AC before they move it back to August or something Laughing

Typo: Fantastic Children, not "Fantatstic."

Why "Ultramaiden?" "Princess" not good enough?

OMG, UFO Princess Valkyrie (apparently Ultramaiden though). ADV sure took their sweet time on this one. They licensed it over 1.5 years ago. They're usually faster with their releases. I thought they forgot about it. I guess it's better than Synch-Point taking nearly 5 years to come out with Di Gi Charat though.

Dear ADV,

Good job on anime (I have no idea since I am boycotting your products but I trust my ANN brethren), but please stay away from manga. Holding my manga hostage when another company can be releasing it is why I despise you.

Please sell the license to "Aria" to somebody already. Or atleast let us know what your official plans are.

(by the way, their webpage is configured so users can't send comments correctly, that's why I have to bitch here. basically I hope this company goes out of business)

Da-da-da-daa daa daa da da-daaaaa!

Valkyrie-chan, wai! Of course, they could've kept the original title and not make it seem even more like pr0n.

I heard in the AnimeOnDVDs forums that ADV changed from "Princess" to "Ultramaiden" because of "marketing issues". Probably because they want to attract more male buyers and Sister Princess, another shounen title, did rather piss poor. Rolling Eyes

I see that Law of Ueki has a 19.98 price point, which is the same as Viewtiful Joe. Viewtiful Joe is dub only. Therefore is one to conclude the same thing about Ueki or is this just cheap goodness because its going to be ~13 discs?

I hope Ueki is dual language, just in case the dub is...well, similar to that of Viewtiful Joe...

Honestly, I think a long series like that should have a lower price point...honestly, I'd be more interested in buying some longer running series if the DVDs for them were like $5-$10 cheaper than the 13 or 26 episode series...

Hi all!
While Viewtiful Joe will be English only, I can assure you that The Law of Ueki will be released with both the English and Japanese Language tracks with Subtitles.

What the!? Di Gi Charat Nyo vol. 2 is on the list and is set to come out in April? Uh, they never released the first volume though... correction, I just looked on Bandai's website and the release date for vol. 1 is 9/4/2006:

http://www.bandai-ent.com/products/product_details.cfm?id=450

Ok, seriously, WTF? Vol.1's being released after vol.2? Something is wrong here. I think TRSI may have their information wrong on this. I'd trust the people who made them to be more correct.

I'm trusting Bandai more just because they're the ones who are releasing it. I really hope they're wrong though, I don't want to have to wait half a year longer for it.

Whoa, whoa, did I read that right? Fullmoon (wo Sagashite) has not only been licensed, but has a release date?! Please, tell me this isn't some mistake! I've been waiting for that to get licensed.

According to RightStuf's release page, yes. Full Moon wo Sagashite has FINALLY been licensed all thanks to Viz. Razz

Two questions now remain: who's dubbing it and are they going to dub the songs? (something tells me Viz not putting song subtitles is pretty much a given Confused )
