Now that the "Girls With Guns" genre is enjoying a bit of a revival (mostly through Bee Train tripe, but it's still in the genre) I'm caught thinking of a story of gun wielding females that was, you know, GOOD.
So, just out of curiousity, is there any chance that Dark Horse might reissue (in less-edited, industry standard format like they're doing for Oh! My Goddess) the classic Kenichi Sonoda story of a woman, her Shelby, her gunshop, and her lolita ex-prostitute explosives expert - Gunsmith Cats.
Seriously, I want this series reissued to ten tons of acclaim and popularity, then crammed down every Noir/Madlax fan's throat to remind them that Sonoda is still the master of the genre.

Despite the fact that Darkhorse is moving in a new direction right now, GSC's may have enough appeal to the newer manga audience to warrent a republishing. The thing is it's nowhere near as marketable as OMG!, nor does it have a fanbase as large (or devoted; I'm sure alot of OMG! fans are planning on buying the new edition).

Hmm, how is Gunsmith Cats not marketable in the current manga scene?
If GSC isn't marketable, how is Gunslinger Girls?
I'd figure many of our more testosterone toting fans would much rather read an action-comedy about two gun-wielding girl bounty-hunters driving around in a Shelby Mustang rather than faux-action/drama about tortured little girls brainwashed into becoming one-woman armies.

Well for one thing, it has a big anime tie-in (how many fans today have even heard of the GSC anime?). Plus, you gotta remember that DH is ALOT more conservative than ADV. If they wanted to re-release something I'd see them picking Blade of the Immortal or Appleseed.

I would look forward to that.
As i remember, the first series of GSC that DHC released where missing chapters. I would be nice if they released those 2 - 3 volumes with the missing chapters included.
