Meh. Nothing I'm interested in.
I really wish they would finish some of the stuff they had (in a timely manner, 4-6 months between releases is ridiculous) before they started releasing new manga.

Kind of old news, like back during AX.
Beyond the Beyond, is that's related to the PS RPG?
It seem like TP really love Aki Shimizu's work, but her work are usually well written & drawn.
Tamayo Akiyama's a former member of CLAMP? Well if her book Secret Chaser is anything like CLAMP, i'll pass.

Shonan Junai-gumi isn't a prequel since it was made before GTO.

True, but it's still the story that takes place before GTO. I've seen some volumes of SJG re-titled as - "Young GTO - Shonan Junai Gumi". >_>

Finally I get some news on SJG besides "It will be coming soon" from TP...
I'll definitely be picking this title up if the translation job is as good as the one they did for GTO.

Don't forget they're releasing Shonan Junai-gumi at 400 page for 9.99 - wideban edition. What a deal. So instead of 30 volume, we only need to buy 15 volume.

Ah yes. I think they might have some lazy editors/translators on there or something. I already finished the anime and I so wanna read the manga. I bet when I'm like 50 or something years old...
"Yay! TokyoPop finally said they will be releasing Spiral 2050. Now I just have to wait a couple of more years..."
... By then, I probably would have just read the Japanese imported manga already. I saw a bunch of new Spiral manga at the bookstore I go to. Characters not seen in the anime!!

I hadn't heard about that. I've been interested in getting GTO, so maybe I'll get those. Makes me glad I waited.

Yes, it does take place before GTO, but a prequel is something that is created after the original work and takes place before it.

I meant Shonan Junai-gumi, not GTO. Must still be drunk from last's party.
GTO is still 25 volume and is excellent if you haven't pick it up yet. Shonan Junai-gumi might have a bit more risque humor but it's not as refined as GTO.

Nothing I'm interested in here. Then again, I'm only looking for news to state that TP will indeed pick up the Slayers novels after volume 6.
