And no anime... that is a freaking tragedy!
This is one of, if not the best shojo series out there!

EH?! Shocked

Oh, wow. I thought it would've had a few more volumes before ending. Looking forward to see how the story wraps up.

And hoping for an anime adaptation too. Someday.

... Please?

Ahhhhh!!!! :(

I mean, it's good that things end and don't just continue forever until they stop being good, but Dengeki Daisy is so awesome. I can't wait to read whatever conclusion is in store!! ...And I look forward to Motomi-sensei's next work!! :D

(personally I don't care that there's no anime, since I pretty much only watch manga-based anime when the manga is unpublished in English. I don't need mediocre or just-good adaptations if I can have the full-strength source material. plus, I think a very significant part of my enjoyment of Dengeki Daisy comes from the emotion and expression in the artwork, and I just don't think an animated version would capture that spark of what I love.)

The reason that alot manga are ending is because probably manga sales are dropping.

Agreed. I had hoped the manga would garner enough monetary success to warrant an anime, but alas.

That said, and while I am very much saddened by this news, I am glad something I've loved for a long time now can go out having accomplished what it set out to do, and not be dragged on and on for the sake of profits at the expense of the story; I'd rather have a Solanin than an InuYasha*. Let it go out at the top of its game.

I've come to love Motomi's series to no end so I hope she starts a new manga shortly after DD has its finale. I think she blends genres and stretches stories outside the confines of shoujo stereotypes very well.

*I did love InuYasha a great deal but by the end I hadn't finished it and no longer care because it just kept going and going without offering any kind of emotional payoff. I felt it would've been a much stronger series had it been less than, say, 20 volumes.
