Anybody know when the series will come out in the US, I usually like the dubbs, are they getting the same people from the movie to do it? I thought the movie was abit odd, all the characters were really cold and kinda dull.

I haven't read anything definite yet. There are your usual rumors and speculation...but until there is anything official, it is all up in the air for a while.

There is a region 0 release of the first ten episodes available. It's region 0 with English and Chinese subtitles. I bought all three at Discount Anime (http://www.[This URL is a known Bootlegging website]). The english isn't always grammatically correct, but fine to understand what's happening. If you just can't wait, you might want to check them out. I think the US release will happen after they've been shown dubbed on cable sometime in 2004, but I'm not sure. I'm looking forward to it too. |

How do they get away with selling them in the US legally? Just lack of enforcement? (sorry for the naive question) |

i saw the first episode, raw. that's it. nothing more. if i want more i'll buy the R2s or wait until Bandai releases it. the thing is -- it shouldn't have ever BEEN fansubbed, because it was picked up by Bandai before it ever aired on Japanese TV. |

No known date. I think Cartoon Network will air the English dub ones sometime in 2004, then they will be released on DVD shortly after. |

I think they intended to release it here in the US at the same time (or close ot the same time) as it was released over there. My guess is a late 2003 release for it.

yeah. a CN staffer (who obviously overshot his authority) said they had the TV contract... when.... in fact... it wasn't finalized. IIRC it was re-announced later that they did, in fact, have the TV rights. I would assume it's going to be on TV first... they just need to place it in the schedule... which could mean months until the next open slot comes along, as CN has contracts with other companies to air their products too. |
