Hello.
I was looking the page about the World Masterpiece Theater and i'm surprised to know that Mirai Shônen Conan isn't in the list. I want to ask about, here in the Encyclopedia sub-forum. Conan is a serie from Nippon Animation too, from 1978 (the same year of Pelline) and is based on Alexander Key's work. The WMT just take one serie per year? Exist another reason for not add this animé to the list? Thanks for clear my dubt. Greetings from Venezuela. |

Hi Saouri,
I'm pretty sure that Future Boy Conan is not a part of World Masterpiece Theater. There are many similarities between a number of World Masterpiece Theater titles and Future Boy Conan (Miyazaki / Takahata, based on literature, produced at Nippon Animation), but there's one important difference. WMT was co-produced and broadcast on FUJI TV, and Future Boy Conan was co-produced and broadcast on NHK. WMT was actually a FUJI TV programming block. -t |

Ahhh thank you a lot for the answer.
I didn't know about the co-production companies. |
