thats good, it will make just over a million, not stellar but as far as foreign releases go its pretty decent.
speaking of decent some critics say that it lacks the magic and energy of ponyo or howls, but I say it works regardless. its plain but very charming, it didint need to have anything out of the ordinary and was still successful. |

Personally I think this film is leap and bounds better than Goro's last attempt at directing a film.
Granted he had more help this time around, but it was still a pretty fun, sorta relaxing kind of movie. spoiler[Though my bf and I call it the "incest scare" movie just 'cause it's such an unconventional subject matter for a studio ghibli film] |
