(Will save DC 100.) Summary: Dragon girl appears, goes nuts over protagonists, drops several hundred d6 of damage, blah blah...all that's really important to know is that Kugimiya Rie is involved. Episode 1 spoiler talkin': spoiler[ Rose is just about perfectly adorable. Can't get enough of her.  Eriko, on the other hand, is irritating as hell(that's sort of intended, though). Ryuuji is sort of bland, but I'll let it slide for Rose's sake. Music is upbeat and fun.
Best part of the episode? Everything Rose does! Lap sitting, laying on the table tv watching, naked love tackling. She could probably be just eating a can of beans and it would be painfully entertaining! And it's sort of appropriate that a Red Dragon would like ice cream.  ]
Looks like Rose is going to carry this series all by herself. At least, she's exactly the reason Dragon Crisis is now at the top of my list for Winter 2011.
Even Rose can't wait for the next episode!

Wait a minute!
Rie Kugimiya?! Male lead named Ryuuji?! This sounds like ToraDora! all over again! Just kidding. haven't watched the episode yet, but I'll edit this when I do. I'm not expecting much from this series, though. I'll just be watching it for... Because I have nothing better to do. Edit: I liked the first episode, Rose was cute and stawf. Wow, that was crap. Even Oniizenzen was better than watching developmentally challenged dragon girl screech the protagonist's name repeatedly.

I won't be able to watch the first episode until tomorrow, but I refuse to participate in this thread until you put that Rose gif (the one with her banging the table) in the first post, Olivine. It's just way too cute to not put there.

I couldn't decide between the gif and the screencap, so I just have both up now.
spoiler[She doesn't know Japanese at the start of the episode. Or anything else about her situation other than Ryuuji's name, apparently. What do you want?] And the average Intelligence of a juvenile Red Dragon is 14! She's not retarded at all. Smarter than you, chief.

And yet by the end of the first episode she had learned quite a bit. You can't call someone developmentally challenged when A: they wake up in an unknown place and don't know what the hell is going on and B: they catch on as quick as Rose is doing. Developmentally challenged would be Sousuke Sagara in FUMOFFU 
Ignore Catlord, this episode was pure fun from start to finish. Ooo-lala, spoiler[what exactly happened between Ryuji and Eriko 3 years ago?] 
Eriko's introduction was pretty glorious. spoiler[Storming into the classroom, grabbing Ryuji, and leaving the pass with the teacher and immediately taking him on quest.] It was like, "Okay writers, let's get straight to point ASAP!" And it worked pretty well. Rose might end up being this season's Ika Musume. First we were shown that something as strange looking and slimy as a squid could make an adorable character, and now we're shown that the fearsome, fire-breathing dragon can also be so damn cute. Of course, so far I think I like Eriko the best. spoiler[I laughed when Rose bit her hand...] I'm definitely prioritizing this one. |

This was very cute. I'm glad that we aren't spoonfed the world building in the first episode and am intrigued to watch more. The female character design is great but Ryuuji and his friend in class looked almost identical to me. Maybe my eyes are bad.
Rie Kugimiya is a good fit for the role of Rose but I can't help but wish they had a less annoying male seiyuu. I don't know what age he's supposed to be, but the hinting at what happened 3 years ago would lead one to assume his voice should have at least changed by now (this is jarring for me in the parts where he yells such as "I really don't know who she is!"). Maybe my ears are bad. Nitpicking aside, this seems like a quality title. Looking forward to seeing how it develops. |

They had me at Rie Kugimiya... Yeah, definitely like Eriko's spunky personality and slammin' bod. This series looks like it'll have a very respectable entertainment value.

Ah...ah, my heart. I was dying. I was so dead. What kind of genius said "let's put Rie Kugimiya in a show, but take out the tsun-." I haven't felt this much hardcore moe since Chobits.
Anyway, nothing in this wasn't anything I'd really seen before, however the combination of Rose and Eriko's unbelievable body (anyone else reminded of Misato?) are keeping me watching. Plus, I think with the OP having such a big cast, there's some room for some serious plot as the preview for the next episode showed. I'll say it has potential for now. But only for now. I should mention though, I love the OP song.

Yay I found my fluff show, yay there are dragons, yay it has Rie Kugimiya in it, and yay it was not awefull. I had this targeted as just being a show fanservice show that I could probably get into, it did have some reasonable amount, and it was pretty cute in an Ika Musume way. I was getting a bit worried when it started to take itself pretty seriously, but it didn't seem too bad, andif they play that well enough it might have some good things.
Well it is pretty hard not to draw comparisons with Toradora, what with Rie Kugimiya's character yelling Ryuji so much, was pretty remenisent with later in the series. On that note the lead's name "Ryuji" means dragon, so it might be a little joke there. There is no reason for me not to want to watch more, and there is even more coming, I just hope it doesn't get too fanservice heavy and have more Rose cuteness. |

What a pleasant surprise. I only had 3 shows this season that I absolutely intended to watch all the way through(Gosick, Kimi ni Todoke S2, and Beelzebub), but this show may well join that group. Much funnier than I thought it would be. Rose is absolutely adorable, Ryuji is tolerable yet typical, and Eriko is an absolute riot(not too mention she has a ferocious body that far outclasses any other female character in this show).
This definitely seems like a nice relaxing show that I'll enjoy watching each week. Only complaint is Ryuji seems to be the typical "oh know a girl just touched me I better freak out or I'll die from the dreaded cooties virus" male lead. But I can't complain about it too much I guess since it allows Eriko to dominate Ryuji personality wise which will only do good things for the comedy in this show and thus allow this run on sentence to continue. I can't wait for next week's episode either Rose! |

The preview of this one didn't particularly interested me so I was somewhat surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Wasn't great, but had its fun moments (particularly from Rose and Eriko) and didn't do anything to annoy me. I think I will keep watching this one. Its funny to because it was one of the ones I was almost certain I would drop after the first episode.

I guess I'm the only one not completely enamored by this show? I don't think it's bad, but all I'm seeing right now is a bunch of tropes and cliches that could lead to an alright show, but nothing mind blowing. While the Dragon and Lost Precious things are interesting, it's hard for me to overlook how...hm, how do I say this without unleashing the bloodhounds...patience testing Rose can be. She's cute and all, but I can only take obsessive toddler behavior for so long, so I hope dragons mature faster than humans. Ryuji's "effeminate" demeanor and Misaki's shy girl routine can wear itself out as well.
All in all, I'll check out the next episode, but if I'm not hooked, I'll be putting it on the backburner until it finishes. Oh, I do want to note that I think this has the best bookend songs this season of what I've seen. |

Garfield15 - YES! I was reminded of Misato! The whole first part of the episode wreaked of Eva. (Maybe I'm just too much of an Eva fangirl though
 ) (Also, do you visit a certain other site, G? Because I swear I saw that quote you posted somewhere else last night.  Same with the Zestsubo comment in the Madoka thread)
That aside, I was really scared when I saw the intro and countless characters flying past the camera. I'm wondering how they're going to incorporate them and praying that all of the females don't start living there. I can't take another harem from this season of anime. Rose is adorable. I'll just go ahead and second what all of you said about cuteness and dragoness combined. yum yum. About that shy stalker girl... yes, she's totally a stalker and creepy at that. I want to shoot her with a shotgun. Looking forward to more. |

So far, not so great. So far, I've seen this same thing too many times to like it as much.
The designs are excellent, although I'm still not so sure about that voice actress; I'm sure there were better options out there, but this one will most likely attract more buyers even if the anime sucks by the end, thus... The character that interests me hasn't appeared yet, either, so that must be why. So for now, this is mildly entertaining. That gif makes me want to love it... hmm.
