Hey everyone, I am a owner of direct tv as many of you out there, and have been eagerly waiting for a glimpse or even a mention of the anime network coming to the satelite company. There has been many rumors of this network coming to direct tv in september, and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything. If anyone knows of any other rumors or has heard from direct tv themeselves, please post. Thank you!

Well, the thing about rumors are that they are 75% not true. If DirecTV was going but TAN on lineup, it would have been known by now. I'm sure TAN would have said something or DirecTV. A couple (2) months ago, I asked, and they said no plans. This, of course, means "I don't know, why not ask me how to buy HBO." I pretty sure it's coming, just not soon, but alittle bit later.

It's just a rumor, to this point DirectTV and most providers are simply claiming ignorance of the matter or stating they do not intend to carry it. Considering the level of requests and petitions regarding this it's doubtful that an official statement from them that they will carry the network would go out unnoticed and it would be rather foolish of them to deny it if it were official.
Hopefully they will down the road, but as of this point there's no evidence that they are planning on carrying the network now or anytime in the near future. |
