Hello everyone,
I finally finished and posted an updated Kyo Kara Maoh website. Tell me what you think of it! I'm especially curious if it was worth all of the extra work to capture the video clips and get them approved by the licensor. The site is at www.KyoKaraMaoh.com and there are video clips for most of the entries. Please give me some feedback! Thanks! Chad. - - - - Chad Kime Manager, Marketing & Corporate Planning Geneon Entertainment |

Never seen the series. But looking at the site, you've really gone out of your way to integrate those clips into the episode and character profiles. It's a shame such effort wasn't put to something like Hajime no Ippo, instead. It's ranked a good 250 spots better than KKM and with more votes, yet with a name like "Fighting Spirit" I wonder why sales didn't do as well...
There's no way I can like, special order some DVD covers to say Hajime no Ipoo, is there? |

Sounds good, I really enjoyed the first half of KKM (up to 39)_ and waiting with baited breath for the second half boxed set to come out Down Under so I can continue with the story.

*bookmarks site* You completely WIN for being a KKM fan and making such a nice site for it!
@Tony K: Do. Not. Insult. Kyo. Kara. Maoh. In. front. of. me. I'm sure Hajim no Ippo is good, but insinuating KKM doesn't deserve this attention angers me greatly. |

I didn't mean to insult KKM. Like I said, I've never even seen it. I was just trying to make a point using some statistics in hopes that the same effort could've been given for Ippo as it was for KKM. Communal popularity between Ippo and KKM should speak for itself. I just think it's unfair for one title to receive better treatment than the other. It's more of a marketing gripe than anything else.

Thank you all for the feedback so far!
As for KKM vs Fighting Spirit, I came in late on both and Kyo Kara Maoh still had volumes left to release so I could justify redoing the site more effectively than Fighting Spirit. Also, despite the higher ratings, KKM outsells Hajime no Ippo/Fighting Spirit at least 5 to 1. So from our perspective, KKM is much more popular. I cannot tell you why Fighting Spirit would appear to be more popular but sell much worse. Downloads might contribute, perhaps there are simply more people to whom KKM appeals that do not bother to participate in rankings. There are too many possibilities to narrow it down... Either way, both are awesome shows. Pretty different, but I'm hooked on both and managed to hook my entire family as well. Even though I work for Geneon (at least, for now), I still purchased some of the DVDs so I could send my share of royalties to the creators. Haven't finished the series though- I've got to feed my kids first. Thanks again for your imput. Please pass on the site to others if you like it so that I can get a broader response! Thanks! Chad. |

Great site! I also like the videos, and I have to say the site was very informative and complete. There was even a section about their customs and beliefs. I'll forward the link through other forums.
EDIT: I just thought of this - it would be nice if there were sound clips of the OP/ED themes of KKM |

Fair enough. It's just that the way it was worded sounded like you were trying to say "KKM doesn't deserve this treatment--but Hajime no Ippo does!", and thus my irked-ness. @OP: jetz has a good idea as far as the clips go~ I'd also like to see a page of memorable quotes, since I frequently hear quotes that are awesome/funny, but forget when they were or who said them </3. |

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, I thought about doing the OP/ED themes, but the Japanese licensors are pretty concerned about making their footage available online, so I had to stick to 30 second clips (under the US fair use doctrine) to ensure they would approve it... CK. |

I posted the link in another forum and got some more feedback. She was asking why Conrad's (or Conrart) name was spelled as Conrat.

Wow, you are one hardworking guy. It's really nice. I heard some news there's a second season of KKM coming up. Is that true? If it is, please add some pics of it in your website. Thanks.

Kyo Kara Maoh is already 2 seasons. There is an upcoming 5 episode OAV, though ^^. |

I think she asked because KKM2 hasn't been shown in the Philippines yet. |

Makes sense =3. But yeah, there is already a season 2. I wasn't sure exactly what she was asking because I've seen American fans hear about the OAV and think it's a season 2 because they somehow thought the first 78 episodes was one season. |

*sigh* You can only proofread so many times before you go blind to the mistakes. We had two people read it in house and the licensor missed it too! I'll try to fix this... Thank you very much for spreading the word! Chad. |
