This is some really weird cross promotion for Hello Kitty. This just sounds like it'll be a ratings nightmare for The Hub. |

When I first heard this, I was freaked out.... But then I realized, what better way to get today's children into classic rock & metal then using something like this, for once Hello Kitty is being used for good instead of evil. Yes, little cat, wash out all that teeny booper drek the children of today listen to and teach them the beauty of rock!
Although I will admit personally that cat still scares the bejebus out of me... no soul, no soul behind those eyes  .
Also at this point I think we can officially say the HUB's sthick is to take girly things and try to get them to appeal to both genders. 
And meh, considering theirs Kiss condoms & Kiss Caskets, hardly the weirdest thing the band has ever done. No that would be the comic that they had their blood mixed with the ink.

This also lets Hasbro develop another female fanbase outside of MLP. But this also lets Hasbro develop another male fanbase (not that they didn't have enough of those). |

No but seriously why? I don't get it. I'm so confused... I mean who is the audience for this? I really don't see 5 year old girls watching this show, and I don't really see KISS fans watching this show... unless you're a hardrock/metal fan who has a young daughter or you're the wife/lover of a rockstar who happens to be into hello kitty would you be the least bit interested in this show, and that is a TINY demographic! |

Let me get this straight. There's going to be a cartoon in which Hello Kitty and her friends are going to dress up like the rock band KISS? This has to be an early April Fool's Day joke. I can't see how this can possibly work. I slightly remember KISS from it's heyday in the late 1970's and their reputation was anything but cute and cuddly.
I'm amazed Sanrio or anyone in Japan went along with this but it's their character,they can do anything they want with it. But still,Hello Kitty and KISS? I don't think those sort of elements go well with each other. |

Well, all they're doing is following the Japanese mantra in marketing - in Japan, they'd shamelessly combine anything with everything (there's no such thing as "selling out"). Heck, I'm sure ya guys are familiar with other questionable Hello Kitty crossovers. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the Hello Kitty's Japanese side's idea.
