Any good anime set in the age of sails, caribbean, pirates etc?
if not i think it would be cool to have an anime which follows the life of a band of pirates sailing the high seas, getting into and out of trouble etc!

One Piece is the only sailing anime I know of. It is on every Saturday for 1hour.

My favorite (although like Harlock it's Space Pirates) is Johji Manabe's Rai. Although it's been some time since I've seen it, I loved how the main characters were a bunch of rough goony anti-heros. So much cooler than Manabe's Outlanders.

One Piece is clearly the perfect Pirate anime. Most others are similar but different, such as Harlock (which is pirates in space), or God, what was that really ancient one about an all chick space pirate crew that was mostly fanservice? They had a ship that acted like a "sub" since it could pass into a subspace that most ships couldn't or something. Anyways, that. Also Ryoko from Tenchi is a space pirate. Lots of space pirates. Elementar Gerad is about sky pirates. No real "high seas" action outside of One Piece though.

The Vultures of Gundam X could technically qualify as pirates.
