Holy crap! I can't believe that their going to finally air it. But they also said that their going to air it on Cartoon Network. Not Adult Swim! What the hell are they going to do with this series. It's definately not made for kids. They better not mess it up.

At this point, more than likely it will be on Adult Swim. Everybody still refers to Adult Swim as part of Cartoon Network. I don't think it would work very well edited as a kids show.

Is there a source for this? It could possible air on AS soon, but more likely the poster was just confused by the fact EVA aired on Giant Robot Week two years ago for one episode or two on Toonami.

They're licensing the show out to 4kids to have a new English dub produced. It's airing on Miguzi.

What's incredibly sad is that I almost believed that for more than two seconds. Embarassed

As a NGE fan I'll hope for the best but as is if Adult Swim does show it I'm sure they'll leave it as is. The only downside will probably be they won't show the directors cuts of the latter episodes as well as they won't show the movies.

Any idea if they plan to show the regular or platinum NGE?

Wow. And for a moment I thought it was April 1st already. Razz I guess I was wrong when I said "Evangelion will never, ever air on CN."

Wow, I just got of the Regular Army and looking for a new job. The good old days. I had alittle more hair then too. Any hoot, I guess it's good to see CN giving ADV another chance.

With the coming of Naruto, and since One Piece is already on TV, they want to see have many fans they can piss off, atleast I sure 20 or 30 people are thinking that right now. There's 2 different version of the DVDs out, if they don't like it, I'm sure the first version is pretty darn cheap. But yeah, won't it be better for, both ADV and CN, to air something alittle more new like Chrono Crusade, and wasn't Peacemaker coming to AS sooner or later? And before anyone trys to correct me by pointing out that both are Showtime, save your time, and stop it.

No, Peacemaker was part of an unofficial poll on the Adultswim.com messageboards for what show people would like to see on Adult Swim. It really had no bearing on what would be aired later on the block. Case in point? The show that won the poll was "Gungrave" (this was before G4 picked it up).

No matter what happens, I still win.

It's been airing on Australian CN for years now. And it was on Free-to-Air (at a decent timeslot, no less) years before that.

Regardless, you may celebrate as you see fit.
