Greetings and felicitations. I have a question about entering data, specifically the vintage of manga volumes. Is it permissible to enter (as I did with the City Hunter manga) the vintage of each volume of the tankoubon (and bunko in this case, though wideban would also be part of the question), or is this abusive? My source of information is the best--PRISMS, so that's not a problem; I just want to know if I should continue.
For the record, I'm in the running for a top contributor spot this month. |

I see no one else has weighed in on this matter yet, it's pretty obvious that no solid answer has been reached.
I'm inclined to think that Bunko represent unnecessary duplication of data -- they are just miniaturized reprints, aren't they? While information about initial printings of tankoubon might have some appeal (particularly if we can get day/month/year of 1st printing) bunko don't seem as useful. I'm not certain if vintage is the appropriate place for it either, but the Encyc really needs an upgrade so that new stuff we hadn't thought about originally can be accounted for. :/ |
