Australian sellers are absurd! I "only" had to pay $250 for mine. However, you're a nutso yourself for paying that much for it. You'd be better off getting the Japanese BDs for that price tag.

Yeeeeah....good luck with getting that much, mate. I only paid $400 for the complete set and 2 movies (seller was selling them all together). Do these exist at, y'know, normal prices? Because it is Hikaru no Go, dammit! Sheesh! Besides, there's a much cheaper $756 option out there. If you're wondering who the problem child is, it's volume 4, which has two amazon listings at $360.50 each. Then again, there are lots of problem children here, volume 5 goes for around $60, volume 10 is $50 range, and volume 1 is through the roof too (you might as well get the anime since it covers this chapter really well). Actually, that $756 one is starting to look like a bargain is the sad part. They're about 3500 yen in Japan, IIRC. You can pick them up at Akihabara. A fair price is around $40-$50.
lol, sucks to be them! I picked up all of the Phoenix manga at retail!

Well, this obviously wasn't an anti-sale, since I bought them, but I did buy volumes 19 and 20 of Basara on Amazon at different times. Vol. 19 last January and vol. 20 this January.
I was able to buy half of the series for practically the same price it cost to buy those two volumes. (And only 8 more volumes to go! YAY!)
My local library actually has the entire series, so there wasn't a need for me to buy them. But I wanted them anyways. Yay, collector's mentality. |
