Good to see the little Panzer that could's still going strong; I wouldn't be too terribly surprised to see it crack 25K at this point.

I helped those numbers a teeny bit by buying the Library War movie, Hyouka, and (5 weeks ago when it came out) Girls und Panzer. I haven't yet ruled out quadruple-dipping for Utena, either. ^^

I'm curious to see how Utena turns out in HD. Berserk came out surprisingly strong for such a limited show.

Yeah, that aliasing is pretty noticeable in some parts, reminds me of what Cowboy Bebop's BD looks like. Lots of nice thick grain throughout, but still a massive visual improvement over the DVD. Flipping between screenshots is akin to putting on a pair of glasses. I doubt we'll be getting it here any time soon, just like Berserk, whose BD was also a massive improvement over the "remastered" DVDs. |
