It's possible, though anime companies might be scepticle with something like Hikaru no Go because it's one of those anime that is going to have a very limited audiance

The manga is licensed. So there's still a chance that the anime will be licensed in the future. I'm almost sure of it. Last time i checked, the manga sell pretty good. At least it's ranked pretty high in the manga charts.

I rather doubt it.
As good as the manga may be,Go isn't exactly a popular game in the U.S. so the chances of the Hikaru no Go anime being shown here are slim at best.

It's a shame this title is so "risky." It's one of my favorite series, and I would love bilingual dvds of all of it. I learned to play Go because of it, all though that game requires more brain power than a sleep deprived college student could ever muster.

I know it's not, hell, I didn't know anything about the game other than it had black and white stones before I watched the show. It's a very valid reason why it may not ever be licensed over here, but I wish someone would take a chance on it. It is somewhat educational.. ^^;

Well, I'd say no time soon, because American companies...they like something that will definitely make some money. (Like Dragonball, for instance.) I think the manga is a lot better than the anime, it seems the anime was just made to make kids play Go. A bit... halfhearted. I stick with the show mainly because I've grown rather fond of the characters. It's a bit like what they did with the Whistle! manga. It's 20+ volumes long, yet the anime is, I think, only 26 eps. I heard that they made the anime for a soccer world cup or something.

If Hikaru wasnt as long as it is, like maybe 26 episode, than it would more than likely to be pick up. Or if they can get Hikaru no go on Toonami or something, but other than that it suffer the same fate as HxH.
