Nope. 360p version is horribly pixelated and whatnot. 480p is just fine.

Hm, must've been a burp in the upload. Re-uploaded it; try it again now.

Nope. Still looking bad in 360p.

I know I sound like a broken record, but the sub timing is really fast. It's normal for subs to linger a tiny bit after the talking is over as long as it doesn't run into another line. But with this episode I often found the subs ending just before a character was done speaking. We're only talking a split second here, but it was noticeable and kinda annoying since I was already watching the sub timing closely. No issues with the 720 stream.
Good episode anyway. Karino is my least favorite type of person to watch anime with. Some people get a little too into their anime. Emerje |

Excellent episode content-wise, I'm really enjoying this series. Its one of my top three of the season.
My concern is with the technical aspect of this episode. I've been watching in 720p and episodes 1-6 played just fine with no problems. However this episode had horrible issues, during the opening and ending sequence it kept stopping and starting acting like it was downloading the next few seconds. I thought it was lag at first but I checked my connection and restarted my browser and it did the same thing again at exactly the same points. The main part of the show played well for the most part but there were a couple of stop points. The stop/starting makes for an unpleasant viewing experience, please try to fix this for future episodes as I do enjoy the "catchy pop song" main theme as well as the ending themes. Thank you. |

Actually, I've found the subtitles to be quite amateur for each episode so far. Not only is the timing bad for a good amount of the lines, but there are always typos in each episode, and there's no consistency for dealing with multiple people speaking at once or people speaking while text is being displayed on-screen. Sometimes italics are used to differentiate the two people talking; other times the height and order of a line are used for differentiation, but there's even a lack of consistency with this format as well — the height and the order of the lines aren't consistent, so it becomes very disorienting trying to follow the subtitles. There needs to be a set of well-defined guidelines that the subtitler must follow. I really expect better quality than this, so it's a shame it's this mediocre. Also, as I said when the first episode of Oreimo aired on ANN, the video player needs a pop-out option that allows for displaying the video in the content's native resolution. |

I notice a couple of people mentioning the subtitles. I think they are decent but not the best. As some mentioned there are a couple of typos and following multiple conversations can be a bit confusing. Perhaps use the top and bottom method in the future. Main conversation on the bottom of the screen while notes and background dialog on the top. Or maybe use different colors, main subs in yellow while notes and background dialog in a different color.
Also if possible is there a way to perhaps translate the text when they have scenes with the phone or computer? I realize most of it is likely just normal text but from watching the show on another site, unless the subber was just adding his/her own funny comments some of the text could be entertaining. One scene that comes to mind is when Kirino is signing up for the social site the subber translated what she put as a username as something like, 'doingthisonlybecauseofmybrother' I forget exactly how it went. On a positive note, thanks for subbing the OP and EDs in both Romanji and English, its great to be able to know what they are singing. And also thanks for including the background dialog, it is fun to hear the dialog. |

I'm sorry the subtitles aren't to your standards.
I honestly don't know what you mean by "bad timing", but Oreimo is almost Kodocha-speed in terms of dialogue, and the soft subtitles built into our player doesn't give us ANY controls over where on the screen to put them. You can bet we're going to get that fixed in a future version, but that'll be a little while. As for the typos, I can only say we'll try to figure out a way to do that better in the future. |

I think what Razzuel means by timing is the same thing Emerje brings up in that as soon as someone finishes talking the line disappears, and I also noticed that a lot this episode. I'm a pretty fast reader and am pretty good at following conversations, so even I didn't catch the last few words, I still have a good idea of they were going to say (I can't just scroll back because my computer and your player don't like each other), but that doesn't make it less...annoying I guess is the only word I come up with, but it's not that bad, it's just there and can snap me out of the moment since I have to guess what was said while also reading another line.
I also have the "hiccup" problem with the OP and ED. It started happening about 1:20 into the episode (maybe 40 seconds into the OP), then it worked fine for the main part of the show, and then it hiccuped again at about 23:00, or when the white kanji started rolling and the ED was about to begin. This has happened before, but I thought it was just my computer, but DragonKnight76 is having the exact same issues as me, so maybe it's not just me. |

Thanks for the response. I was referring to what Emerje was talking about; some of the lines seemed like they weren't on-screen long enough, especially in episode seven. That's a shame that the video player doesn't give you any control over the placement of the subtitles, but since you said you guys developed the video player from the ground up, then you should be able to upgrade the player for the inclusion of any new features.
You're right; that's exactly what I meant. I apologize for being ambiguous.
By "hiccup" do you mean that the video stopped playing? The video stopped for me about 30 seconds into episode seven, but I reloaded the video, and I didn't experience any more "hiccups." Also, lately, the video player has been crashing about once or twice per episode, and it seems to crash after entering full-screen mode. |

Mine hasn't been crashing at all. Maybe your flash isn't up to date? Also, I had a weird problem with the ANN player and the Firefox addon Download helper (although that's to be expected for that addon, I guess). If you're using Firefox, maybe certain addons are conflicting with the flash player? I just use Chrome for the ANN player. Works perfectly. If you're using Internet Explorer, then there's just no saving you. I wouldn't be surprised if IE crashed on a blank html page. |

By hiccup I mean it'll play [buffer for 4 seconds] play for 4 seconds [buffer 4 seconds] and it'll do that for the entirety of the OP and ED unless I pause for, like, 5 minutes. I know I have a subpar internet connection and so what I do is that I actually pause the video at the beginning for 10-15 minutes to try and avoid these things. The weird thing is that it plays fine when the show is going on, just not during the OP and ED. And for the record, I'm using Opera 10.63. |

I've been using IE 8 and windows @$%#*&! vista to view the player and haven't had any problems. I have no earthly idea why, but it's been just fine. I still think the poor quality products Microsoft produces are part of Bill Gates' twisted master plan to rule the world, but I digress. I do occasionally get a 'hiccup', accompanied by the little rotating "I'm working on it!" symbol in the middle of the screen, but I've found that if I pause for 30 seconds or so, or go back to the beginning, it goes away and doesn't usually come back. I too have difficulty with the rapid pace of the subtitles, I use the pause button a lot, but for me that's not unusual, and the show does have pretty fast paced dialog to begin with. |

No video problems to speak of on my end. In fact I find the quality to be very good in 720p (my PC monitor is also set to 720p), much better than the 720p from Crunchyroll. I think out of the seven episodes only once did I have the stream freeze for a second whiled it buffered and that's quite amazing. I see that pretty frequently watching anime on Youtube (legally) at 480p and I can rarely go an episode without a 10 second stall on CR. I have to give you guys a lot of credit for the video and audio quality even if I do complain a lot about the subs.
