person#87171
This person was added under Ya Noki, coinciding with what Baka-Updates has written (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=10377). However, Yen Press, who licensed Darker Than Black, lists the name as Nokiya without even a space between "Noki" and "Ya" (http://yenpress.us/?page_id=1432). What would be the correct usage? Baka-Updates, while helpful to some extent, is community edited and, going by Yen Press' use, it would seem Nokiya is a sort of "Romanized penname"; their name could very well be Ya Noki, but it's Nokiya in its Romanized form . Of course, that is just speculation. So, should the name be Nokiya, as per the official company Romanizing it as such? Last edited by RestLessone on Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:10 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Likelihood it, that is how they were told to write it by the licensor.
Kadokawa just uses 野奇夜, but Kadokawa Taiwan does use Nokiya also. Not had any luck finding a site or blog for them - in fact most of what I'm getting in google is Chinese rather than Japanese. Do you know how the manga related to the anime? Is is an adaptation or an alternate retelling? |

Funny, the system has detected the name in an old article more than ten months ago.
My pleasure. |
