is this anime related to any Pretty Cure series, I hope this anime is connected to the original Pretty Cure series

It is the latest in the Precure series, I don't know if it directly related to any of it's predecessors as I've not watched any of them.

According to AniDB, it shares the same setting as Fresh! PreCure, but is otherwise unrelated.
