Well as a GW fan let break down the gundams that Wufei pilots.
First there is the Shenlong which has a single dragon flame and one sided trident. This suit is a white color. This is the first Mobile suit that Wufei is shown in. Next after the lunar base Wufei gets an upgraded version of Shenlong that is now called "Alton" or Alton-Shenlong. Notable feature about this gundam dual dragon fangs, double sided trident, scorpian (spelling sorry) tail that fires lazers. This suit is used up to the end of GW or eps 49 Then come Nataku Custom or just Nataku, which is featured in the Endless Waltz movie/oav. Nataku is a dark green gundam that has dual dragon fangs capable of attacking ay mobile suit without leaving Wufei defendless. Most noticeable change about this suit (beside color) is that the tail lazer no longer exist . Although Wufei calls all of his mobile suits Nataku, the techinally names are found in the above paragraph. Delta Kiral P.S. Alton is the better of the three suits IMHO, very powerful close ranges and decent mid range firepower. |

It's supposed to be Alto-Long or Erto-Long, meaning "Double-Headed Dragon," for the obvious fact that it features twin Dragon Fang weapons as its primary armaments. However, for whatever random, stupid reason, they gave it the cheesy, nonsensical "Altron" name for the North American release. "Tron," right, whatever Bandai, I guess keeping a consistent name scheme for Wufei's suits was just too much for you. |

You more than live up to your Username.
The Shenlong was the Gundam Wufei used until it was captured and destroyed by OZ. It was then rebuilt into the Altron by those 5 Doctors. The Gundams of Endless Waltz are retcon redesigns that were always used throughout the Series. I'm not even going to point out how many plotholes that creates. Oh, and Dragon Gundam was the "inspiration" for Nataku.
I think that the G Fans have more to complain about. |

So. Mostly the gundam doesnt really have a specific name and can be refeared to as many other things? Is this the same with like Gundam Wing, Sandrock, Heavy Arms, Epyon, Tallgeese, Death sychte. Along with this How many versions of Tallgeese Were created. along with epyon. Was there just the one?

I'm pretty sure there was only 1 Epyon. Talgese has at least 3 model kits available, so I'm going with that model.
The only one I really know is the Wing Gundam. Hiro piloted this one until he self destructed it. Then he started to pilot the Wing Zero. I'm sort of cloudy on the details with this one, though. I thought it was the original Gundam that all the other units were based off, but did somebody just "find it" all of a sudden, or were the 5 scientists working on it secretly and just finished it in time for Hiro to pilot it? If somebody could clear this up, I'd appreciate it. Well, back on track, in Endless Waltz, Hiro had the Wing Zero Perfect with feathered wings. There's no real info in endless waltz as to why the Gundams are different there than at the end of the series. In fact, they make it seem as though they're the exact same mobile suits. That makes it kinda confusing. |

If I recall, though it's been forever since I last watched it, Zero was a prototype the scientists first developed but opted not to construct due to the way its systems messed with the pilot psychologically. When Quatre got all depressed he got his hands on it or completed it, I can't remember exactly, and that's how it came into the show.

No, the Gundam has a specific name. Its name is Shenlong Gundam. When it is later rebuilt after being mostly destroyed, its name is Altolong/Altron Gundam. Although the latter was built from the remains of the former, they're two distinct machines in their abilities and appearances. "Nataku" is Wu Fei's personal nickname for the machine in both its incarnations, but they're really only Nataku to him, and to everyone else would be known as Shenlong in the first incarnation and Altolong in the second.
There were three Tallgeese machines. The first one was the original mobile suit. The second one was identical in its abilities and armaments, but looked different. The third one, which appeared in Endless Waltz, was substantially different from the first two. There was only one Epyon.
Wing Zero was designed before all the others, way back in AC 180, but the scientists decided not to build it and they went their separate ways to develop scaled down Gundams based on Wing Zero's design. After self-destructing Sandrock, Quatre found the plans for Wing Zero in Instructor H's computer and built it himself. Before that, Wing Zero existed only on paper, so Quatre didn't really "complete" it, he built the entire thing. |

Because they are. You're supposed to believe that the Gundams as they appear in Endless Waltz are the original revisions built in the TV series. Notice that the prologue to Endless Waltz, showing highlights of the battle from the end of Wing, are using the Endless Waltz designs and not the TV series versions. "Wing Zero Custom" is just some made-up name Bandai used to differentiate model kits, really, because according to canon, that so-called "custom" IS Wing Zero the one and only, and the same goes for the other four. |

Exactly the suits in Endless Waltz are techincally suppose to be the same suit as in Eps 49 of Gundam Wing. The idea of naming these suit as "Custom" was just a way of letting people know there are different suit. Although the character in the movie still think there in the same suit. Serious plot hole here but that neither here nor there.
Delta Kiral P.S. Epyon is still the best suit. |

Thats definetly agreed. But was it in the last episodes of gundam when they sent all there gundams to be sent of and destroyed? or was it the beginning of the movie. But then theres that question But when they get there gundams back.. are they 3rd Custom? Or... do they get new ones for no reason? |

No, if it was anywhere in Endless Waltz, it too would likely have a nifty Hajime Katoki redesign. But it doesn't, because it didn't even have a cameo.
I just explained that in my last post. Go back and read it. |
