This almost makes up for the 3rd and 4th character albums being delayed.
I need to hear Mugi sing....

Already had the BDs preordered. Kind of neat to see I'll be getting a bonus.

Not enough manga material. There's only 2 manga volumes out at this moment.

More of K-ON! is always good
If only we didn't have to wait for half a year to see it...

Hmm... Don't get me wrong here, i watched, and enjoyed K-ON! but im not sure if it was really a series that needs to be expanded further than it is. But hey, to each their own, and its good to see the producers doing well for themselves.

Not bad ^^ I enjoyed K-ON! as a guilty pleasure and had fun playing and transcribing some of it's music, even if the plot didn't have nearly as much development as I hoped. But it was never the point of K-ON! anyway.
Brasolis' statement got me thinking though - at first I thought "Yes, expanding K-ON! seems like a weird thing to do" But after second-guessing I think it *could* be expanded well, especially in terms of character development. While the series concentrated more on moe effects, eating cake and drinking tee, there *was* a minor blossoming development in the characters I feel. Yui eventually realized a sense of goal and became a good guitarist, Mio's become a serious and confident band leader and overall they did get more serious about band business ^^ So one could expand their journey on the way to budokan and slowly, smoothly morph the series into something more mature while keeping the basic "moe fundation" (if that's not an oxymoron) to not allienate half of the viewers.

Well seeing as how they're only partially through their second year in school, it would only make sense that if a second 12-14 episode season was produced it would cover them all the way through graduation and maybe a bit beyond.
Plot points that could be covered:
1. Future of the four initial bandmates. I always thought that the ED of K-ON! represented something of a "future view" of the girls after they've graduated and have gained experience, while the more light hearted OP represented their musical beginnings. It would be nice seeing them perform a more "grown up" tune or two, much like the ED.
2. The future of the light music club itself. Will Azusa (and possibly Ui) help keep the club alive? The manga isn't really clear on this point (and frankly not far ahead of the anime's ending anyway) so we'll just have to wait and see.
3. Will Mugi's feelings ever get resolve? Or will she remain a subconscious closet lesbian forever.
4. Will they play at the Budokan before they graduate? Again, no way to know at this point.
Anyway it's not much to go on, but let's face it, K-ON! might as well be called K-Anime that just plain works. And the music's cool. K-ON! is definitely a guilty pleasure for me as well.

Annoying, since as it stands I really cannot afford to import these, much as I'd like to.

I continue to have trouble understanding why so many people seem to keep commenting about how they are dying for a second season of this thoroughly medicore show. Seriously it's practically become the stock response to K-On topics ("I want a second season", "Bring on the second season") and I can think of so many series that could benefit more from a second season then this go nowhere affair.
Like why not just wait for the next Kyoani moeblob show that everyone knows is coming eventually if it's that important? It's pretty much become a same difference affair with them.

I have trouble understanding why you feel the need to belittle other people's opinions. If you don't like it, you can just ignore it if another series is made. I enjoyed the series a lot and hope there will be more.

Simple, people want more of what they like, whether that item is good, bad, or mediocre. And this is the kind of series where a sequel couldn't possibly be worse, since it would just be more of the same.
Incidentally, I don't see moe fans asking the same questions about that Inuyasha sequel.
