i was wondering if anyone has seen "Alexander," called "reign" now by tokyopop. I have had a lot of trouble finding much information about it outside of "its loosely based on the story of alexander the great."
in particular, i am interested to know how alexander's relationships with characters like hephaistion play out in this show-- in other words, how the homosexual part of alexander's nature is portrayed, if at all. if any one can help, thankies much in advance! kira kira Saturn |

Uh. Sorry Li'l Miss Shounen-ai - the show isn't quite anime. It was designed here in America by Peter Cheung, the dude behind the MTV show Aeon Flux, although it was directed and animated in Japan at Madhouse, under the scrutiny of hotshot director Rintaro.
You can catch Reign next month on Adult Swim. But be forewarned - the gayness will most likely be at a minimum! Oh the horrors! I, however, am looking forward to this. Cheung's been trying to get this show on TV since 1999. |
