KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God I have been waiting for this! Great news! I wonder which stories they will animate. The problem with this series is that there's only so much material that can actually be aired on TV, LoL.

Really looking forward to the second season!

I always wondered, why was this a show that fangirls latched onto? Is it because of the VA talent (Hiroshi/Namikawa) or is it something else? It's truly bizarre to me that a show with such crude humor seems to be relatively quite popular with female fans in Japan.

Regardless, this is very awesome news. Love Azazel-san (as I did Punie-chan and Dokuro-chan) and it just further proves just how talented of a director Tsutomu Mizushima truly is when he's not asked to direct horrors like Blood-C/Another.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT.

Finally! ^^ So excited. This show is just so GOOD.

Megiddo, it's surprising what you say, and interesting. I'm a girl and I totally love this show, despite the crude humor. It grew on me a lot. I didn't realize there were others like me.

For me, yes, it's the cast and I also happen to like shimo-neta (dirty jokes).

And FYI, I'm living in Japan but am from the U.S. so while I am a female fan in Japan, I'm not a female fan who is Japanese. Just making sure that's clear I'm not sure if you're including me in the "female fans in Japan" comment.

I don't find it all that surprising. It has a dashing dark main character, a competent female sidekick, and kawaii chibi demons. I looked to see if there were still plushies around but don't see any at 1999.co.jp. Who wouldn't want a Moloch plushie? (One of my favorite scenes in the show is Moloch sitting on a bench in a restaurant trying hard to look like a plush toy.)

I don't think there were ever any plushies made. A figure of Azazel is coming out next year though. I'm hoping they'll be making one of Beelzebub too. X3

I would hesitate to call Akutabe a main character with how little screentime he gets compared to Rinko and the demons. I would also think the rampant sexism (hell, just think of the Ichigo Nyo~rin song) would be a big detractor, but I can definitely see that the cute plush-like demons could be a big pull as well.

Weird though because the image in the article indeed said a 2nd season had been decided. Did someone fake it? =/ Sadness!
