I just made my account here and it's stressful adding all this anime I've seen, want to see, manga I've read, etc. Why did it have to be so stressful? Even adding stuff to the wishlist is stressful because there's so much anime and manga I want.:mrgreen:Also anyone else feel overwhelmed by adding hundreds of things to their profile?

You only have to do that once. After that you simply keep it updated one anime at a time.
Don't forget to add ratings and comments Smile

Stressful or not depends on the number of anime you've seen, and if you do remember them just by the title. That way you could just browse the A-Z list, adding them at a decent pace. Back when I did my list I opened every single title in a new tab, checked it out and added it to the respective category (seen some, seen all, want to see). And yes, it took ages. Keep that list updated once it's complete, believe me when I say you wouldn't want to do such a thing twice. At the very least it's a great source to find out what titles you'd like to watch one day.

I would recommend doing the same thing I did and just get it over with. After that I never had to ask or check threads for recommendations.

Well it's stressful as I've seen over 114 anime, read 55+ manga, and watched around 15 anime movies. Then there are a ton of series I'm interested in which I'm going to end up adding to the want to read/watch list. It's going to take a while to add all the stuff I've seen/read and stuff I want. Anime smile + sweatdrop

I browsed through 3800+ entries six years ago just to find what I've seen/read as well as duplicated ones within the Encyclopedia.

Now we've got 11000+ entries. Enjoy. Wink

No wonder it's stressful, especially for you. Wink

But now that it's been brought up, a quick question: when adding anime to our lists, how difficult would it be to separate out the licensed locally from all?

I know the bold is an indication, but it would really be nice to see the whole list as bold only.

Not that I'm pushing on this. Just asking. Smile

Try Custom Anime List.

So Petrified Jello, is it over 9000?

All kidding aside, I too never knew that was possible either. Pretty neat actually.

Also, one could make the very reasonable assumption that most of the anime/manga you've seen has also been seen by lots of other anime fans (unless you actively seek out obscure titles). In that case you could use the most viewed list.

Well I might as well just do the method I've been doing where I just search for an anime/manga and add it. I have like 200+ things I want on the want to read/watch list. It'll take a while rating stuff. Especially since I see like to see each anime I watch in both the subbed and dubbed formats as I like both equally. As for the manga volumes and DVDs, I'll end up doing that later for the want list. My manga collection is currently relatively small luckily. I better add all the stuff now before I reach 20 manga volumes.
[Edit]By the way, why isn't it showing the my anime and my manga icons below for me? Is it because I'm 16 and not 18?

That is the most hilarious speculation I've heard today.

Customize my categories --> Click on any "edit" link --> Check the box besides "Allow public to see this category" --> Click "Save Category"

Man I feel stupid not knowing that's how you're supposed to do it. Thanks it's now showing.
