i just recently started reading this manga and i am wondering if anyone can either confirm or deny weather or not this manga is at all related to the story of "suzuka". if you could get back to me on this i would be very thankful.

From what I gathered:

Kimi no Iru Machi summary:
Eba Yuzuki, a girl from Tokyo moves to a countryside to attend high school. She lives together with a guy named Kirishima Haruto whose father is an apprentice of Eba's father. Haruto never agrees Yuzuki staying at his house and always rejects her. There comes another girl character named Kanzaki Nanami, whom Haruto might have fell in love with. So... what will happen in the story?

Suzuka summary:
Yamato is ready for a fresh start. So when his aunt invites him to stay rent-free in her big-city boarding house in hustling, bustling Tokyo, Yamato jumps at the chance. There's just one teensy-weensy catch: It's an all-girl housing complex and spa! Things get even more nerve-racking when Yamato meets his neighbor Suzuka, a beautiful track-and-field star. She's not just the cutest girl Yamato's ever met, she's also the coolest, the smartest, and the most intimidating. Can an ordinary guy like Yamato ever hope to win over a girl like Suzuka?

Based on these I would say no. Different character names, plot, and well everything. But based on the cover art I saw I can see why the two would be confused. The cover pages look similar.

They're both by the same creator, but they're entirely different from one another.

This is one of only three titles that I'm following the scans for, and I like it quite a bit. The two main girls are awesome, and are definitely not bitchy, unlike the titular character of Suzuka.

i'm also reading this and i like it

it should be noted that this one does overlap the suzuka story
i.e. the main characters sister lives in the same boarding house that yamato and suzuka live in...if had to put a time frame on it i'd say haruto and eba's first year of high school looks to be yamato's and suzuka's senior year.

one other thing i think haruto's best friends the girl and the guy
(don't remeber that names)are "perfect" for each other.

Well i read Suzuka and i read kimi no iru machi as well....

I think kimi no iru machi is a anime made for the Honoka fans of Suzuka..... The looks of them are very similiar, but the character is totally diffrent..

Nanami Kanzaki is based on Suzuka...

So this is my opinion therefore

I love Kimi no Iru Machi... it's the story of me and my gf ^^. KnIM takes place around the same time as when Honoka and Yamato break up and she goes into modeling. And I think AzN_Dodo is right... the characters are different but based on characters of Suzuka.

As AzN_Dodo already stated:

Nanami = Suzuka

Yuzuki = Honoka

Takashi = Yasonobu

Akari = Hashiba

And obviously the stupidity of both Haruto and Yamato... xD

How many other similarities can you point out? ^^

I've read quite a bit of Kouji Seo's works and this includes Kimi no Iru Machi and Suzuka. I would have to say that what's been stated here so far is pretty dead on. I couldn't find any real way that the two series are related other than a similar time frame and similar character designs. But I did notice one interesting thing. In one of the chapters of KnIM Haruto is watching tv. And on the tv you can clearly Honoka (from Suzuka) on tv doing an interview. And I think she's telling the story of how Yamato and her met.
