Most decent anime I watch I end up marathoning juts cause I'm impatient like that. I finished Baccano in a day, Monster in 4, Code Geass in 2, and FMP TSR in 2 all fairly recently. If I don't feel inclined to get though it fast then I usually end up not finishing it =/.

First, you're going to need to explain why you "couldn't stop watching," as it's expected that the opening poster will elaborate on their own views when starting a thread like this.
Second, the grammar here is just painful. At least a reasonable attempt to use proper grammar is required in these forums and the first two posts in this thread don't cut it. I'll give the OP a chance to clean it up before I consider locking this thread on that basis alone, and I'm correcting the title myself. |

Recently, Chrono Crusade. There was enough in that first episode to enthuse me to the extent I marathoned the whole thing over 2-3 days.
It was the interaction/chemistry between the two leads that hooked me, one of my biggest bugbears in anime is believable chemistry. |

Yeah, people buy products here... *ahem* anyway... I guess the last show that I marathoned was Freedom. I was just taken in by how gorgeous it looked. |

I prefer to Marathon, if it were up to me EVERY dvd would have a marathon feature similar to that of DBZ. I try to go through each show that I own at least once a year, but I've now got so many that that really is unrealistic.
The last show I marathoned through was Star Trek TOS on Bluray, but I'm going to start Kimagure Orange Road next week. |

Snrk... Lol, Key.
Anyhow, not many shows have done this to me....but the few I can point out are Yu Yu Hakusho, Fate/stay night, and Baccano! Something of a late bloom was Toaru Majutsu no Index. I almost completely dismissed the show after the first 2 episodes, but I decided to blast through it at around episode 4, much to my liking later on. |

Well, some examples of series that were compelling enough to make me not want to put them down were Denno Coil, When They Cry, Kemonozume, and Monster. All had great characters and storylines and I ended up marathoning them.

Cowboy Bebop. More accurately, the first minute or so. The prologue interested me, and wanted me to watch more. The first episode, well, that wasn't the main factor. However, the first minute pushed me to episode five easily, and the rest is history :p

Nana had me hooked from the beginning. The interactions between characters, wondering what was going to happen between them next. Before I knew it, I had watched 47 episodes and it was over, leaving me craving more.
Another was Fate/Stay night. I liked the story from the beginning. They also tended to leave the end of each episode open where I'd immediately start watching the next to see what happened. This caused me a lot of lost sleep since I stupidly started watching the anime during the week and would have to wake up early each morning to go to work. |

Lunar Princess took me a single night. Before I realized it I wanted to see the characters more and more. And that way I spent a whole night. The story itself isn't really captivating.
Another was Chrono Crusade, which also took me a single day. The episode that really got me was the one showing Rosette and Joshua's meeting with Chrono, and also the episode where Aion made his apparition. Since it also was one of my first anime, I could say that this anime definitely touched the bottom of the soul of this now soulless person. Comedy was also an extremely captivating show. I simply couldn't turn an eye away while watching it, and before I realized, bang, it was over. Golden Boy also. Did I laugh, did I laugh. I think that's a pretty good anime to go back and review once in a while if I feel like I'm losing faith in something. Hah, as if I had any. Mushi-shi, which is the most recent, was seen in 2 days. I wouldn't exactly say that it really got to me(my fault though), but I simply wanted to see more and more, and the episodes flew by. Neon Genesis Evangelion was another that took me not too long. If I recall correctly, this show affected my psychological for a good while, as it also is one of my first anime. Two shows that I would have also finished in a single day would be Darker Than Black and Code Geass 1, but as I watched it as it came out in Japan I couldn't. Many more that I won't mention, since there is quite a few already. I do enjoy watching a whole anime in a single day; just so you can understanding a bit of my bitter side; as if there's another side. |

I agree with this, I was the same way. Another show that grabbed and shook me in was Black Lagoon, I just got sucked in and watched like the first 6 episodes in a row, and went out to buy more. I really liked Black Lagoon. It was new and interesting and it stole a few hours from me. |

i watched Kanon, the only 24 episode anime that i watched the whole day. i already watched the series and really enjoyed and loved it at the first time i've seen it. Then i was like having this "Want-to-watch-the-good-scenes" sickness. So i did, and looked at the first episode again... and unexpectedly as the time pass by i just keep enjoying the series again and go on and on. even though i know already whats gonna happen, its just like having the feeling of watching it when i first watched it. it was just too good and didn't realize the time was already 11:00 pm.[/b]

Well, I'm betting Eureka Seven would have been, had I not been buying it as it was being released, which forced me to wait months between episode sets.
Otherwise, I'd say Haibane Renmei and Lain both sucked me in and had me marathoning from start to finish in 2 or 3 days. I'm a very story oriented person, and those two titles both have deep, meaningful, and engaging stories that really got my interest. I would say Haibane Renmei more so of the two, since I found those characters much more likable, and the story more accessible. The funny thing about both of these titles is that I was drawn to both after seeing their OP's before I knew anything about either of them. Another one, and a very different one, would be Oban Star Racers believe it or not. It was just a fun and fast paced show to watch, that actually managed to tell a pretty interesting and well paced story along with the beautiful art and well done action sequences. The characters were great, the art was well done and the animation was great, and the story and pacing was just plain fun and entertaining. It's not going to win any awards or leave one pondering philosophy or the meaning of life, but heck, I was entertained and drawn in enough to marathon the series. |
