Oh snap, they got Karl Urban. I might have to see this just for him.

They seem to be gathering together a nice cast here, but the descriptions of the manwa and script sound absolutely nothing alike. I mean, what's the point of saying it is an adaptation of the manwa when it has nothing to do with it?

Even though Karl Urban was amazing as Bones...he was also in Chronicles of Riddick. =_=
And did a crap job there... Can't blame him though, given what he had to work with...

Karl Urban was in The Bourne Supremacy? I don't remember that at all.
I agree though, sounds like an interesting cast is coming together.

So Tokyopop, when is this series getting finished? There hasn't been a new volume in over two years. Has the author quit it, or are you just not releasing it?

Whenever I see that teaser image, I think "Peter Weller", which would be pretty cool.

I tend to think that if an actor is AMAZING in one movie, but sucks in another, that's it's the director's fault. But that's just me.

As a priest fan this is annoying and only drives the stake deeper (no pun intended) into our hearts.
The fact that Tokyopop is so cordial in their marketing, is insulting. They should be apologizing to us every step of the way.

The most recent volume in Korea, Vol 16, was released on Jan 27 of 2006. From what I know, it is on hiatus...

Yes he was, he was the Russian assassin who framed Bourne and killed Marie near the beginning and then showed up later to go after Bourne in Moscow.

I wish Hollywood would leave live adaptations of anime/Asian comics to Asia. Just look at what they did with Dragonball: Evolution. The Asians can do it better.

I disagree. Hollywood does a great job if the right people are chosen for the job. Dragonball Evolution was a failure for a lot of reasons, but Hollywood itself wasn't the problem.
Aside from that, Asia had it's own really bad Dragonball adaptations. I think Dragonball was hard material to do right and they got a group of people with divergent opinions on how to handle it.

...except that this is set in the American west in the 1800s, they'd need an all-English speaking cast anyway to do it right. There's no cultural transition here, it should have white people. And a couple of African Americans and Native Americans too.
Sucks that this is on hiatus! I want to finish this series, buying 16 volumes to have it not end would be... well, at least with X we got a great anime. Maybe the movie will give it a satisfactory end?
