While using Safari on my IPhone to post messages on ANN, I find that I can only successfully do so while using a Wi-Fi connection. When using the phone on a 3G network, every attempt to submit a post, is met with me being prompted to login even after I've already done so.

Here's the usual progression:

Hit "reply to thread", login, type my response, hit submit, be prompted to again login.

I thought that this might have been a Safari/iPhone limitation, but other message boards seem to work fine. Could this be a limitation or compatibility issue with ANN's message board software?

I think it's the same problem as this.

And I think I just found and fixed a bug which may have been causing this. Hopefully your problem should be fixed now; please post again if it isn't.

I just tested it out and the issue still exists, sadly.

Mine doesn't do that. The only problem I have is that I have to hit the submit button several times before the site is like oh ok you hit submit.

That may just be a browser issue. I don't have my 3G on nor am I near a wi-fi signal.

I would suggest you keep your i-phone update Beltane70. I'm not saying you don't but that seems to solve most problems.

I had this problem on my iPhone as well. I found that telling the site to "remember me" fixed the problem.

Let us know if that works for you Beltane70, or if the problem persists.

I could never get the "remember me" part to work on the iPhone 2G.

But, i do have the same problem on Safari on my computer. I get logged out frequently, but my name and password are still in the login. When I hit log in it doesn't work right away.

Has there been any updates on this. I'm still getting logged out quite frequently. I can log in stay on the site for hours and then the next day come back and i'm logged out- I hit login and it doesn't do anything at first except refresh the page.
