YES! Although this makes licensing even more impossible now, since no one is going to pick up something this long.
Oh well....LONG LIVE GINTAMA!!

Not quite.I still say it'll be Viz media that'll get the license since thay have done very long series like naruto and bleach. But it's taking too long now.I'm starting to believe that it may never get licensed.

*sigh* Yeah, that looks like it's going to be the case. Granted, Viz did release Hunter x Hunter's anime 8 years after it had came out, but that's a relatively shorter series compared to Gintama's anime. At best, we can hope that Funimation will finish One Piece and bring back Case Closed after Season 5 comes out (Naruto and Bleach seem pretty safe of finishing here). But after that, I don't think any additional long-running series will be released over here for a while until the anime market gets in a better position.
Oh well, as long as the manga volumes of Gintama keep coming out, I'll be content.

Great show. Tons of fun and I couldn't be more excited to have it continue.

I never fell for all the fear-mongering that the series was gonna end. It will be interesting to see what they do with the show though considering that they're pretty much out of manga to adapt.

Good news. I really hope somebody in R1 land licenses this series.

From the sound of it, Sunrise is going to start using the 'Keroro doctrine' Which is to make up a lot of stuff, and adapt the manga a little less. Though this was only implied and not so much clearly stated.
And I'm not saying they're going to stop adapting the manga completely, but we may see them doing more filler. (Which for Gintama is really easy to make...although I would like to see Sunrise's take on a serious arc...)

Even if they did, it's Viz. It would take a year to release the first DVD with a grand total of 4 episodes, and then continue like that each month.

Bleh. I see Funi's picking up every other anime that isn't Gintama. I guess even they don't want to pick up something long for a while. 'sighs' I really want R1 swag. It's saddening that something this awesome is being ignored outside of CR.

This is a series I'd like to see in the future when possible.
This is good news, I just hope it is the same quality as the rest of the series.

They seemed to be suggesting something else entirely in the end credits for ep. 143-144...
