Something that gives reviews, talks about anime, gaming, manga. Anything like that. Thanks!
Update - wanting to see youtube channels that are popular around the anime community that talk about anime tv/movies, new and old manga, and maybe a little jrpg or old school video game talk. Pretty much like a video podcast about all things anime. I hope that was better explained. Thanks for the heads up! Last edited by RobotechXB9R on Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:43 am; edited 1 time in total |

If you could quickly edit your post to completely explain what you're looking for and give an example of what you're talking about there's a chance this thread won't be locked. But you better hurry, the mods close these barely explanatory, non-participatory , one liner threads pretty quickly.

The edited version of this request is acceptable, but any answers that link or refer to channels offering anime videos that aren't legally posted (which the OP isn't asking for) will be removed. Just be sure that you're answering exactly what he/she wants and things will be cool.

JesuOtaku's anime reviews are my favorite. I love them. She's a reviewer for this site and she's amazing. Check out some of her stuff. I hope this is what you were looking for! |

Thanks for the plug, moonie92. Although~ if you're going to recommend my stuff, I'd veer away from youtube, as that channel is over a year behind in content, gets hit with copyright BS constantly and probably won't last much longer, I'm removing its videos as soon as I get a personal site up and running.
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/ir/jo <-- It's better if you head here to see my stuff for now. Anime Reviews, Countdowns, Extended Retrospectives, a manga-based Radio Drama, all that good stuff. ^U^ b Hope you enjoy. |

Awesome. I'm adding that to my bookmarks JesuOtaku. As far as YouTube channels go, I haven't seen any reviewers - it's mostly episodes or AMVs or trailers. Sorry.

My favorite one is Gigguk, he makes humorous review in Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation fashion, but lately he has also been uploading countdowns, rants and even an AMV: http://www.youtube.com/user/gigguk/videos
Holden Reviews: http://www.youtube.com/user/HoldenReviews/videos Otaku no Video: http://www.youtube.com/user/ONVPodcast/videos Since you've also mentioned gaming, as part of the fighting game community I'll leave here some of the most well known channels: High Level Tournament Play: http://www.youtube.com/user/MyPlumpkins2/videos Maximilian: http://www.youtube.com/user/Miles923/videos Behrudy: http://www.youtube.com/user/Behrudy/videos Cross Counter TV: http://www.youtube.com/user/crosscountertv/videos The Left Handed Monkey: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLeftHandedMonkey/videos LiangHubb: http://www.youtube.com/user/LiangHuBBB/videos |

There was Grumpy Jiisan, the best anime reviewer on the internet, but he apparently has some bad arthritis and can no longer work on his videos. He never delved too deeply into critical analysis that goes over for 10s of minutes like other reviewers, but he introduced the anime, its creators, and background, broke down the synopsis, and presented his personal take. I'm certain he must have had some level of Japanese understanding, since he often imported R2 DVDs and laserdiscs that have no subtitles on them. That sort of insight is something none of the other reviews possess, and he of course has a much different world view, often being multiple times their age. Best of all for me and other aficionados of ancient anime, he covered a bunch of 80s films and OVAs.
I hope he can fight his ailment and get back to doing what he loves: hiking to god knows where and talking about the good stuff. He and Justin are probably the guys who introduced to the most to older and highly obscure titles. There's very view people who blog/vlog with that kind of heavy watching experience. Try out The Anti-Viewer
Pros: 1) His persona- it's distinctive, memorable, and he has the perfect voice to make it work Cons: 1) His persona, while good, has untapped potential. He could stand to do more with it. 2) Slow rate of content production Note that, if it matters, some of his videos are on blip.tv instead of YouTube Highlights: Working! review Infinite Stratos review part 1 Infinite Stratos review part 2 Top 9 villians part 1 Top 9 villians part 2 Top 9 animated openings Top 9 characters that in any other context would be villians Top 9 greatest animated women part 1 Top 9 greatest animated women part 2 Edit: This highlights section isn't listing is it? I'll of course edit it out if so. Last edited by UnrestrictedMethod on Fri Jun 29, 2012 8:39 am; edited 1 time in total |

Why on Earth would you retrospect the terribly edited dub of Digimon? You should always review the original version of the show for credibility's sake, especially if it's such a hackjob |
