The Black List. These are titles that are too bad or mediocre to be worth finishing.

After School Nightmare (manga) | read one volume |
Here is Greenwood (manga) | volumes one and two=weak (Steadfastly ignores its few interesting plot points electing instead to meander aimlessly. At one point Kazuya must return home setting up a situation where he must confront his problem but instead of using this as an opportunity for character growth the story skips past his stay and instead there's a dull plot about a runaway celebrity. Most egregiously of all, Kazuya's brother seems to be an interesting character due to his personality falling outside the gender binary yet he's scarcely ever glimpsed. Seeing Kazuya grapple with his brother's femininity would quickly elevate the story but there's no sign of such a thing happening anytime soon. Shun would also be interesting if the story didn't indicate there's little to his gender abnormality or his character generally for that matter. Even the plot arc at the end of volume two about Shun's brother barely involves him making him almost as much an afterthought as Kazuya's brother. Other plot elements like the religious group or the motorcycle student are also established then quickly ignored. It is appreciable that a side story was dedicated to the gay couple though it’s hard to be impressed when Hana-kimi did the same story vastly better. Again, there are some good ideas here but as long as it keeps meandering it will remain a snoozer.) |
