... But seriously, I choose magic as my favorite genre, if that is really a genre, more like fantasy. I can sit and watch basic acts of magic take place all day long. I'm in love with Someday's Dreamers, I have the pretty box and everything. Comedy is second though. I love School Rumble and Strawberry Marshmallow. |

My favorite sub genre is magical girl, so I voted for fantasy-magic-supernatural. I do prefer something magical in my shows. My next favorite would definitely be romance. Good romance is hard to come by most of the time though.

I seem to be highly receptive towards liking anime that dabble into psychological elements that explore the mentalities of their characters under tense situations. Anything like Monster, Aoi Bungaku, Serial Experiments Lain and Revolutionary Girl Utena are among my personal favorites for anime titles since they do enough to challenge the beliefs of both their characters and/or their audience.

I love it when a show can blend genres well, such as black comedy or psychological horror. I picked fantasy because nearly everything I watch has some element of fantasy, whether it's slice of life, horror, adventure, or comedy.

Supernatural is my favorite genre, as the shows there are often intense and out of the ordinary. Slice of Life is my other one, as the shows in this genre relates to a person's ordinary moments.

This is a really hard choice for me to make because I love comedies, romantic comedies, and slice of lifes.
Stuff like Chuunibyou, Lucky Star, Nichijou, Acchi Kocchi, and so on. Most of them could fit into any of those categories, so I figured comedy was the best choice. |

I like it better when an anime can expertly mix the genres together, like having action, comedy, and mystery, or something like that. The mixes of those are normally my favorite, but anime really doesn't seem to have a one category per show.

I think one should differentiate between genre and setting:
Setting: - Fantasy - Science Fiction - Contemporary - Historical Genre: - Comedy - Drama - Tragedy - Horror - Action |

 I can't believe the genre, Mystery is one of the least favorites. I love mystery anime like Detective Conan and Gosick. It's okay it's everyone's choice.
It is hard for me to choose an anime genre even answering this poll. The truth I don't care what genre I am watching as long the anime is good.  .
Okay, sometimes, I'm a bit choosy. I like comedy, slice of life, mystery, and romance.

I prefer to watch animes with romance category, because the girls are really cute and beautiful in romance animes...Thank you...

By far, my favorite genre is a tie between comedy and slice-of-life, which is clearly reflected in my top 5 favorite series, as well as in the makeup of my Anime collection.

There's no option for Magical Girl, so I chose comedy.
I simply enjoy the Japanese sense of humor. It's a lot of fun to watch light hearted and funny anime. I don't like some jokes that are common in anime, like the "ecchi" jokes. But an anime like Nichijou for me is pretty much the epitome of humor. Japanese comedy is what makes me happy. |
