I don't understand. I download 1 volume each week. It comes out weekly
Is there something i am missing out on?
If so, someone please tell me?
Thank you |
If there's something that you don't understand, it's your illegal activities. Downloading translated manga scan when the manga is licensed is illegal. There are many chapters per volume (6-10), so downloading a chapter per week, you would need 1 or 2 month to get a whole volume. Do you know the differences between volume and chapter? How about what's legal and what's illegal?
8 Buck a volume isn't that much.
Just totally ripping off the creater makes the whole "manga buying" community look bad when leecher are getting it for free online. |
Well is it my fault that Australia doesnt seem to sell Naruto manga. The only way i can read the manga is by downloading the series. IF what i am doing is counted as illegal activities i am sorry but i have no choice. If its illegal and you dont like it why not try and close the site. Anyways thank you for judgement but please next time dont judge a book by its cover. The only reason I download from scan sites is because i cant get it anywhere else. How about you send the volumes to Australia and sell it here. You might make a lot of money. Well thank you.

No, but why should that matter?

Or you know... you could just buy it.

It is illegal; a little something called the Berne convention which protects the copyrights of the original work. I can guarantee you that these scanlations have not been authorized by the legitimate holders.

Wrong, you ALWAYS have a choice. It's a privilege, NOT a right.

Well, that's pretty much up the license holders, besides, it's not a justification for going to the site JUST BECAUSE it happens to be up.

No, he's judging the content of the post. In this case, you opened the book wide open for everybody to see.

How about you order from plenty of online sellers who will be more than willing to ship it to you in Austraila?

Only if you are willing to pay for it instead of stealing it, as you've basically admitted to doing.

Oh no, thank you for making it so easy to break down your entire argument. Instead of posting excuses, I'd much prefer to see you post something constructive...
The fact is, there isn't a good reason out there to not buy the legitimate product. If you really enjoy Naruto as much as you say you do, don't you think that Masashi Kishimoto deserves to be paid so he can also help to feed himself and his family? Not to mention those who publish the manga, etc.?

On top of that, I live in Australia and have seen Naruto Manga Volumes on Sale. Most comic shops will stock the US VIZ version. Alternativley, you can order online from a variety of sites. YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHOICE.

Godaistudios, I couldn't have put it better myself. WELL SAID!!
Naruto_86, that's just a week argument...Austrailia doesn't sell it.....aparently Australia isn't hooked up to the internet yet, then...but wait...HOW DID YOU DOWNLOAD IT IN THE FIRST PLACE??!? Looks like there is divine intervention at work here!!
If you like the work, Buy it, otherwise the creator will NOT get paid to keep doing it.

you guys are being WAY too optimistic. if you have the patience to read the measly TWO chapters of naruto shonen jump releases a month then well... good for you. not all of us can wait that long. the good majority of naruto fans read weekly scanlations because the story is just too good to wait - for and at the pace VIZ is going, the story will never catch up. but as a fan, I still buy the manga VIZ releases because I know being a fan of scanlations doesn't support anything. I just wish the SJ translation didn't suck so hard, then I'd feel better about buying it.

I hope Angel Sanctuary will be added to this speed up list, but if it's going to make the quality worse than what it is then I'd prefer it not to be sped up.

Hmm... a terminal illness or something?

Well, I'll give that to you, at least you are still supporting the product by buying it. I'm not that different in this aspect, I just tire of the lame excuses for doing it. Do what you want to do, just don't try to pretend there is a good reason for it.
