And to think I went "Yeah, whatever" when my little brother came running to me from the living room going "Aila! Bart's dressed up as Astro Boy!!!"

If anyone's interested, Fox is rerunning this episode... erm... now, or in 3 hours on the west coast (8 p.m.), though, if you're reading this on the east coast, you already missed the couch gag since it's already a couple of minutes in as I'm writing this.

Dunno if anyone still cares due to the overall downhill slide of the show (for many seasons... this ain't recent), but, in tonight's otherwise tame episode, there was a pretty funny gag in the beginning at Springfield Public Library where the children's section has very few actual books anymore, just CD-ROMs and a Yu-Gi-Oh collector's guide, and there was a Groening-ized poster of Yugi on the wall.

Cool pic, the image of Mt. Fuji in the background is a nice touch.

I just have to say that that must have been very funny. I missed the beginning part of the episode, and only started at the part where Bart was Mozart.

She's Jun/Princess/Susan from Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/G-Force. Take your pick, it's all the same show. Just... re-edited. (this is why old fans get upset when new fans use the term 'butchered'... they have no idea.. :))

That was funny, though I'm sure it caused members of the YGO-isn't-for-kids-foundation to roll over in their graves. I missed the opening part, and I wasn't even watching the Discovery Channel. (The Weather Channel)

as a side-note, I noticed an increase in anime references in certain American cartoons.....lesseee,
there's one in Family Guy and Dexter's Lab (Speed Racer)
there's even one in Billy and Mandy (Dragonball Z)
and of course, the famous Southpark Chipokomon episode...
it's spreading, people......

Don't forget the South Park movie, which featured an obvious DBZ parody when Cartman's V-chip broke and he started using swear attacks on Satan's army.
