Of the new teen romcoms this season, this is the one I'm currently most likely to continue to follow. (Okitsura just doesn't interest me and I'm wavering on Medaka Kuriowa.) After episode 3, I am also a little concerned that they're settling in a little too quickly and easily. However, they both are fundamentally decent people who respect each other more than they care to admit, so getting more comfortable with each other is bound to happen if given any chance at all. Hardly a priority view (especially on a day that has both Apothecary Diaries and Guild Receptionist), but it should serve as one of the filler titles I watch when I have extra downtime or want something light to put on during breakfast.
(And yes, even as a cat lover whose 2025 calendar features kittens, that 24-hour video is ridiculous.)

Episode 3 lost a little bit of steam for me - It wasn't annoying, and I like the characters fine, but for me it wasn't as compelling. I think it was partly because, as Key said, the two settled into a kind of domestic ease a lot quicker than I was expecting, and partly because (as Blood mentioned) the episode felt more like a series of shorts that were only loosely related to each other and didn't have a lot of impact. And partly because him running to a hospital in his pajamas, carrying her in her pajamas, was ridiculous. Even if I buy that him honoring her wish not to tie up an ambulance was the right thing to do, he could have called his grandparents or his father or her mother (I'm not clear if their parents have spouses). That kind of hokey drama for the sake of drama annoys me
I mean, we're talking about the lethal Japanese night air which is guaranteed to put characters on their death bed with devastating anime colds here. Carrying a thinly clad fever victim with an uncertain diagnosis through that?
But I'm still liking the show.

Still better than Episode 11 of Super Cub.

@Piglet - I'm afraid that you and your anime mastery have confounded me. But if it's a question of looking up something because it's more contrived than the midnight shoulder ride, I'll take your word for it

I'm actually familiar with the reference to Super Cub that Piglet the Grate made. I liked that show but yeah that was pretty bad what they did. Got quite the negative reaction from what I can remember. And just to be super annoying, I'm not gonna provide any details, heh-heh-heh...

Teenage girl on a Super Cub heads out on a rescue mission that should have been left up to properly trained and equipped first responders, then adds wind chill to already being soaking wet in the winter.

@Piglet. Geez, that does sound cringy. I have a harder time than some getting into anime about Jr.High Schoolers being used for elite combat units or tank exercises or running detective agencies or becoming arctic explorers and such in general, and that even pushes those boundaries. And hearing about it has the bonus effect of annoying Blood who was hoping to be annoying
@World in general. Of course, (ahem) I meant midnight princess carry instead of midnight shoulder ride. It's just that princess carrying someone for miles at a run is even more ridiculous, and my fingers typed the common sense version without thinking about it....which I realized when I re-read it....

Um, the only place I could come close to being considered an "Anime Master" is CGDCT-SOL of the last half-decade.

What Koguma did in rescuing Shii in Super Cub Episode 11 violates everything I have been taught in extensive construction and industrial safety training, accident scene training, first aid training, and motorcycle training. Koguma deserved a stern lecture and being made to attend first aid classes, not free sandwiches.
So arctic exploring is out, what about Antarctic exploring (of course I am referring to A Place Further than the Universe / Sora yori mo Tōi Basho)? Although I believe the most dangerous thing those (high school) girls did was to eat durium fruit ice cream?
To get back on topic, after watching Episode 3, Akane is definitely prime waifu material, and it is a good thing Saito is finally starting to notice. And to give credit where credit is due, Saito is much less a Potato-kun than is usual for rom-com MMC's.
