Husband got his Christmas bonus today so besides taking care of some other things I also got to place an order on TRSI! Yay~
My haul: Cardcaptor Sakura Omnibus 1-4 Chobits Omnibus 1-2 Tokyo Babylon Omnibus 1-2 My Beautiful Girl Mari DVD Dead Space 2: Aftermath DVD EDIT: Also picked up Okimono Kimono All of the CLAMP omnibuses are to replace my old Tokyopop editions that I've sold to make money when my parents needed it (they had a fire at their home back in October and they needed funds to help replace things of necessity). The Dead Space movie is actually for my husband; he has the first one and since I saw this one was on sale I jumped on it for him. My Beautiful Girl Mari is a blind-buy but it sounded really nice and for $3 I figured I wouldn't lose out on much if I didn't end up liking it. Two months later, finally got my Princess Jellyfish CD from Disctail.Inc

Soundtrack) Also picked up my Rightstuf order for Is the Order a Rabbit? both blu and dvd sets along with Maria Holic Vol 1-6 EDIT* Had to take advantage of the sale - just ordered these from Rightstuf (no longer a fan of the smaller, flimsy blu-ray cases so these are essentially double dips for the case covers and for use as loaners/back ups. These will be going into the clear 6 capacity scanavo cases I picked up earlier. So I'm back to single dvd sized cases - which is what I started out with  - the more things change the more they stay the same...)

Well... I tried to convince my husband to spend the portion of his bonus on what exactly he wants and NOT get anything for me but... that didn't work.
 We went to the local anime store and picked up Spice and Wolf manga Volumes 4 and 5.

Just placed the order for them now! I'm glad I waited though, the thing I really really wanted finally fell into the sale, woohoo! So I picked up Turn A Gundam 1 & 2 in addition to your anime, and also the Manhwa Novella 1 (i.e., the one I was missing. I quite liked 4 btw, for those curious) Also, this is my first time using paypal to check out at rightstuf. I need to yell at someone again at work, we finally got my routing number correct for direct deposit, but I do not have any money from said direct deposit, urgh.... But I did just sell a bunch of things on eBay, so my paypal is the safer way to go here (even if I am charged all at once, though everything is in stock, so it probably won't be held up for long anyway) |

Besides pre-orders for next year, which covers about 80 new to me, or otherwise ongoing titles I'm interested in, this pretty much wraps up my anime-n-manga related R1/A buys. It was another good year for the collection. Especially for the older titles. Stuff I thought I'd never ever get to view, are now on my shelf. Ones like Robot Carnival - finally trashed the bootleg! Super Dimension Century Orguss - finally got the whole set! And of course I was able to get Creamy Mami, Black Jack, BAOH, and even a few VHS tapes from the Buried Treasure column - recently received one for Nineteen 19.

Crunchyroll 1 year "gift" subscription (I buy it for myself so I don't have to think about the automatic renewal.)
although, maybe I should have waited? I think everything went through fine, but I'm not sure. My account status said my previous subscription expired on Sunday, but Monday I was still getting premium service... I got the gift sub anyway, and it seems to be in my purchase queue... but it also still says my subscription expires on "December 13, 2015" Ranma 1/2 Omnibus manga 7/8. I was buying a couple Graphic novels as gifts for a niece and nephew at a Books-A-MIllion and there was a buy 2 get 1 free... eventually I plan on collecting the rest of the series, so it works. |
