It’s made clear in Episode 2 that it’s a sequel. Obviously they intend it to be accessible to newcomers, and essentially it is, however in my opinion:
1. The changes so far have made it a weaker setup for newcomers compared to the original. 2. The series spoils some important things from the original series, weakening that for newcomers who watch it afterwards. Therefore watching the original series first provides the best overall experience. |
