Due to how things are scored it is difficult to get very high scores. 77.5 is a decent score, I wouldn't say excellent. But as put in the article it was enough to get him third place. Without the fall his score would have been a fair bit higher.

Considering there can be scores in the 120s if all goes well using that scoring formula that seems to becoming more and more prevalent than the standard 10.0 scale that used to be the norm...

I love figure skating! That was awesome! Love his cosplay, even his hair fit (in terms of texture, not color). Always hard to see figure skaters fall, but he had a great routine. It'd be cool if he could take it to the Olympics.

That's kinda neat. I wonder if Mr. Renolds is an anime fan, or just a fan of the song?

Considering that he's wearing cosplay, the chances are good that he's an anime fan, or at the very least, a Cowboy Bebop fan.

He's also skated to Chrono Trigger, and Legend of Zelda tracks in the past. So I assume he's a fan of Japanese video games, and most likely anime too if this routine is anything to go by.

This performance was done in my city (Halifax).
The venue was the Scotiabank Centre (previously the Metro Centre).

Now I feel like re watching Cowboy Bebop.

Definitely have to praise him for that quick recover from falling.

The rest was on point and I enjoy the cowboy bebop references.

Depends on the level of competition. I've been beaten to, but yeah, this score would be good at the national level in Canada, but he'll be trailing towards the bottom if he competes in the Olympics.

Still, I love this guy's spirit. He combines two things that he very much likes.

Oh wow, that's amazing. If he can get into the Olympics, I wonder what he'll pull out.

There are a TON of guidelines for what type of music is acceptable or unacceptable for Olympic skating though.
