oh screw you, Kibayashi, you're setting me up for an emotional gut punch in this game, aren't you? The little sisters might as well have "You are going to feel like a heel no matter what" stamped on their foreheads.

Does an faster overseas release cost more money for video game companies? Since the game will release overseas in 2016.

It's mostly because of time; the reasons RPGs tend to have such big gaps between overseas release is due to the metric tons of scripts that need to be translated. And then you have the fact that RPGs also have big casts leading to needing to get voice actors, then the proper localization, etc, etc. Plus Nintendo has been strict in quality so they're not going to let it be halfassed thus they take their time instead of rushing it.

Well, it is indeed a shame that we will only be seeing this outside of japan only next year, but it wasn't really a surprise; if i'm not mistaken, FE:Awakening only made it to europe exactly 12 months later, and to NA around 10 months. But i'm still hoping this one will be out a tad bit earlier, with the budget being higher and all.
That aside, I wonder if the NA/EU versions will also be split into two games or if it will be based off the special edition. Personally, I would prefer only one game with a choice option, since we don't really know the two kingdoms much aside from the official info, and we will only be going with one of the paths after chapter 6; which is time enough for one to change opinions I think.
also, team loli imouto and dark knight aniki all the way man

I do hope that it comes with multiple save files. If it has that I'll be really happy. I'll definitely discover how awesome each of the paths are...

I'm hopeful that for the American market they'll elect to simplify this and just release one single version with both paths. Or maybe there will be be a special edition here with all three. In any case, so long as one path feels like a full and complete story I'll be happy. At that point, alternate paths are just icing.

The animation doesn't look bad. Now, which side is loli and which side is mature?

Could take a while for the West to get it because of what to do about the different versions. If they do it all in one cart, I can see them having to do extra work for it.

Guys, I've looked into this and after the 6th chapter the games are meant to be completely different. Way more so then differing Pokémon versions are. They're two different games! And the digital copy does let you choose between which side you want to go with (unlike physical ver) but will then lock you into that choice, even when you replay the game. So basically you're signing up for ONE of two storylines. Unless you buy the other via DLC that is.

I'm not surprised after all you're choosing a different country that's been a war for years(?) be kinda weird if they had identical cities, landmarks etc.
I'm disappointed that Nintendo is going the 'milk you for all your money if you want the full story' route but I'm not surprised with all the ridiculous paid dlc on FE:awakening.
I'm a bit disappointed that this wasn't the FE X SMT game but hey FE is always fun. If it was related to SMT it'd probably have a third and forth option along the lines of: work with neither side and join some rebels with the intention of uniting both kingdoms and Screw both sides and take em both down. I know which path I'd take last.

Didn't do it with Nier, have never done it with Pokemon doubtful they'll do it here.

Why put the blame Nintendo? They just have the game on their consoles, they aren't making it, just publishing the game. Besides, they are going to be two very different games, so they're publishing two games. We shouldn't be getting so frustrated, after all Pokémon releases two slightly different versions every new time they release a game and nobody complains. What I'm trying to say is, Nintendo isn't 'milking your money'. The developer, Intelligent Systems, has decided that they've made enough content for two separate games and are going to sell their product as such. If you want the other storyline, you can buy it for under $20 as DLC. Which seems pretty reasonable since you'll be buying a whole other game's worth of content.
