i need some help identifying an anime
i do not have a picture or video

all i can remember is that a person (perhaps two and perhaps demons nonetheless) travelled through a solid wall using some sort of red beam or red cube perhaps...it looked like lasers sort of...

i want to say that the anime had a police theme or a detective theme, but i am not sure...

the setting was futuristic i think...
*any help would be greatly appreciated*

It wasn't Gantz? As was suggested the last time you asked. If not I think you'll have to add something more if you want more help.... was it a movie, series, OVA? Do you remember when you saw it or what time period you think it came from?
What exactly "looked like lasers"? The wall they walked through or maybe what they used to travel with?

@necronfarseer: The second image looks like something from the Moe Moe Nazis book. My fiance has it, I'd have to check with him to be totally sure.

I couldn't get the images to load yesterday, but they are now and located via tineye. It is from something called the "Waffen Mädel Projekt" which appears to be a doujin or doujin series by an artist calling themselves Miharu, who is actually Chinese.

nope, wasn't Gantz
i think the people were human outlines of laser beam looking stuff of a red laser color returning to normal human form after making it through the wall

it is recent i wanna say because I think I saw it on a preview section of another anime DVD, maybe karas or something

I have an anime I'm looking for. I used to watch this anime when I was a kid. It was my dad's favorite anime, so we had it recorded on VHS. I have long lost the VHS, so I can't re-watch it. My dad is dead, so I can't ask him. It's one of the few things I have to remember him by, so I have been looking hard for it. He died in 1992, so I'm guessing it's an anime that was made in the 80's or 70's.

Some of the things I remember of it is that it had a group of protagonists who could equip armor with a little hand-held trinket that had the shape of an animal. They could also make the trinket expand in size so they could use it as a hoverboard to fly around on. I remember each of them had an animal-themed armor that was related to the trinket they had, similar to saint seiya (it's not saint seiya). I think the armor was fairly bulky and had the heads of the animal on the chest, similar to the one in Mira Robo Daltanious, and had no spandex-like areas. If i remember correctly, the main character had white armor which was either a lion or tiger, I don't remember. I distinctly remember his friend who's armor had the theme of a falcon/eagle/hawk. I think his armor was blue-ish and his weapon was two rings that he could use to blast his enemies with. He shouted something like "ibalasah" to get his power working. I also recall an ally with dragon armor with a spear, all of these which the heads of their respective animals were visible on the chest portion of the armor.

The antagonists I remember also had similar armor. I remember one guy who used a giant buddha statue to attack the protagonists. There was also another guy who controlled this weird silver liquid. Another guy had a giant floating turtle island thing (never got to the episode to see him up close). The last scene I remember from the anime was one of the bad guys (who used an axe and threw it) had for the most part, beaten the main character, and started to make the ground beneath the main character glow and he started to sink into the ground. After he had been completely submerged, the ground turned back into stone. There was this annoying girl (pink hair??) with this weird moogle-type flying fuzzy thing who was crying and kept scratching at the floor to get the main character out, but she was powerless.

Some other clues...I have some reason to believe it might be a chinese anime since my dad was chinese...the anime was subbed in chinese but I am not certain if it was dubbed in chinese or if it was a chinese or japanese anime. I can't say I remember the style enough to recall otherwise...

If you could help me find the name of this anime, or point me in a direction that would help me find the name of it...I would be very grateful to you. Thank you very much.

@ two fish the series you may be looking for is Shikabame Hime. The scene sounds like something that happens during the second season. I won't go into details due to massive spoilage.

Does Eyeshield 21 end at episode 145? Is there a conclusion?
I'm currently at episode 11 and just found out it's 145 episodes instead of 50. Oh, that's good news though.
Happy birthday in advance.

Could someone tell me what is the most likely translation of レースト? It's a European surname, but I don't know how to tell whether the first character should be an R or an L, and which vowels, if any, should be omitted. Smile

Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to help me now and then with some complicated sentences, please PM me so I don't have to clutter up the boards with my nonsense. Smile

I take it you're thinking of マルティン・レースト from Urazawa's Monster? I don't believe his surname has been officially translated -- I think the translated versions just call him Martin. In any case, his surname is likely to be Urazawa's transliteration of either Reest or Leest, since both names occur in German and Dutch usage.

I'm always willing to respond to polite PMs, but bear in mind that I'm not currently particularly active in these forums, so it may be a while before I check my messages.

Trying to find an anime show/movie? That I saw A long time ago.

I don't really remember a whole lot about it but it was one that took place in space during a war.
All the characters were all female and they never heard of "Men".
During the second part one of the characters got pregnant and had a boy who grew into adulthood in a very short time.
I don't remember anything else.

Kinda curious about it because this was the first anime that I had ever watched.

It's not Vandread by some small chance, is it?

If that's not it. Where did you see it? Was it on TV or VHS or DVD? Were there Robots involved?

It was on TV (satellite)
Not sure if there were robots involved.
EDIT: Also this was the mid to late 90's when I saw it.

Thanks! I'm not in any hurry, so I will take you up on that! And that's pretty much what I was thinking for the name, although I didn't know whether to double the vowel and/or keep the ending o.
