The esculators are there due to the fact that this is on the 13th floor of the dept store (I always thought that they "skipped" the 13th floor...) and there is probably stuff above as well.

This does sound pretty cool.

Oh, all department stores have 13th floors, but the elevators usually skip them because they're full of Pokémon stuff.

Yeah, that's about right. Now if you're going to have it that big where's the tournaments? If this manages to be a success years down the line can we expect virtual battles?

Pokemon rocked back in the 90's and it still rocks today, not as much for the anime but the games are still wicked awesome and the original anime series still feels fresh.
