Why did the main dude take blame for the first missile attack and ship off the NEETs?
This will probably contain spoilers or at the very least a spoiler

I believe the other fella knew the code to destroy that place that they are at and the thing that controls them also is at stake so he took the blame to save the world.

that made no sense... what thing that controls who? what code to destroy what? DO you mean the mall? that doesn't quite help me understand how taking the blame saved the world either

Poilk you're probably better off using spoiler tags on your first post, just in case.
Anyway the answer to your question is in episode 12.
It's been awhile but if I recall the reason is because of the reactions of everyone that was saved by the NEETs. There was a lot of suspicion about how they knew about the bombings and that it was all a conspiracy. So in order to save the NEETs Takizawa first takes the blame then ships them to Dubai for 3 months so everything can die down. Next he whipes his memory. They do a really good job explaining it all in episode 12 (his rational, mindset of being betrayed, etc), it's hard for me to go through it all off the top of my head right now haha.

yeah episode 12 of 11... but at least that makes some sense even though its stupid because now everyone will just hound the NEETs for why they were shipped away as well as hounding them for how did they know the missiles were coming. Still doesn't seem necessary but whatever Japanese writers have never made that much sense to me anyway

11... 12... close enough .
Just remember though they kind of explain as well that it asn't the most rational decision but it's what Takizawa came up with at the time
