Edit 2: I still can't see this! At the page it asks for my login info, and here on ANN the video gives me a message of what my dictionary is telling me means "loading..." with no sign of actually doing any loading.
On the plus side, I did learn the Japanese word for "loading."

That's strange...it worked for me just fine. It's a neat little short, even without knowing what's being said.

Well, it's"playing" now, but I'm just getting a black screen. With a bit of text at the top. So unless this truly a minimalist work, I think I'm still having problems.

Works fine, You probably need better video codecs or something. since the video isn't working and all.

That was really tender...I hope maybe it'll be a little series of short films, all little snippets of this world.

First of all, why on an embedded video would codecs matter at all?
Second, mine are perfectly up to date and I don't have any problems watching anything else on the internet, be it at Crunchyroll, Youtube, Rotten Tomatoes, the Onion, the Daily Show, That Guy with the Glasses, okay I am proving myself a big nerd here but you get the point.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm at work, where the codecs are written on crumbling deer skin found beneath ancient seminole burial mounds, and this particular embedded video doesn't work for me either. but in my case, i suspect the black-hearted missionary conquistadors.

And at home it worked without a hitch. Hope you figured out what was up on your end, Vashfanatic.
It's an interesting piece. There are a couple really nice background paintings, too, which contrast strangely with the super-simplified computer animation, but also perhaps more widely show off the animator's talent.
I can't read or understand a lick of the Japanese, but the piece reminds me of Kino's Journey a bit -- a girl and her talking machine exploring a fantastical landscape. Since her text bubbles mimic software windows, I wondered if she were an android/robot, too.
