Valkyria Chronicles 3 looks awesome. I'm currently playing the second game, but I'm really disappointed in the plot, even tough I like the gameplay. The third looks much more promising plotwise.

They really should have made VC3 for PS3 though, cause I have no desire to go buy a PSP but really want that game.

Hmm. Looking forward to VC3 and Ni no Kuni (though the latter mostly for the artwork, at this stage.) It's really a pity VC3 isn't being released for the PS3. I know it's because developing for the PS3 costs way more, but it would have been so nice to see it on a big screen.

I'm just glad that a certain travesty's debut trailer wasn't posted.

Now, of course, I'm suddenly very curious about this mysterious "travesty."

Probably DmC: Devil May Cry.

Me too. I really hoped that it would have been on the PS3 instead, but it might actually be better that it is on the PSP(since the 1st one wrapped up really well) and making a sequel for that would appear on the PS3 might just come off a bit odd(but thats just my opinion). I wouldn't really want to buy the sequel games since I am very content with just the first game and judging from the trailer, VC3 seems to be a side story to the first game.

Ni no Kuni looks interesting (especially since it's Ghibli's first game!), but theres no doubt about it that I'm pre-ordering IDOLM@STER 2! (;´Д`) It's too great to pass up regardless of my financial situation... orz

I own a PSP so its not a problem but yeah, I was wishing VC3 would have been a PS3 game. And it looks like they dropped the style from the first 2. Unless I got a bad res. But VC2 is very fun. The expanding to the battle system and classes was very nice and I hope it carries over. The Fencer class is so much fun. Story isn't too bad but compared to VC1, it's a bit of a let down.

I was very excited to hear rumors, later proven true, that there would be a third Valkyria Chronicles game. Information was hush hush about it until recently.
I took a look at my Google Reader RSS feeds one day and was very disappointed. One of my subscriptions posted up an article that future Valkyria Chronicles will be on the PlayStation Portable. Needless to say, as a fan, I was pretty outraged at such a bad decision. Nevertheless, I guess this is Sega's way of screwing up a great and burgeoning franchise.
As a fan of Valkyria Chronicles, I support it no matter what as it was a sleeper hit which very few have played. I own a copy of Valkyria Chronicles 2 but have no PlayStation Portable to play it. This is how much I like the franchise. Amazon has posted up a preliminary listing of an artbook from the first game which I would buy in a heartbeat if there was an official release date. When the third game is for sale, hopefully the not-owning a PlayStation Portable problem will be solved by then.
I am still outraged and saddened at such a terrible decision for the future of the Valkyria Chronicles franchise. As a fan that bought both games, it seems that there is not much I can do.
~Sigh.

I agree, it's annoying that VC3 will be for the PSP, as I would much rather it be on the PS3. However, there's a reason Sega isn't developing for the PS3: it's really expensive as opposed to developing for the PSP. One of my close friends works in the video game industry in Japan, and he kind of tears his hair over how expensive it is to develop for the PS3.

They should develop the game for PC then. That'd be nice. I'm sure there are all kinds of things they could do that console didn't allow for.
PCs are better for gaming, with the exception that people don't like to buy them for that for some odd reason.
(Expense is only half-reasonable, given you can get a decent gaming system for <1000$. I realize this is twice as much as a high end PS3/XBox360 combo, but it's also twice as good.)
I can't take mobile games seriously. I like mobile devices but I always go after those I can put an emulator on. I'll play old games on them for nostalgia, but new crappy looking tiny games are just totally uninteresting.
(And I really only use the mobile devices for playing mp3s or when on trips).
I'd accept a ps3 sequel, I bought the ps3 entirely to get Valkyria Chronicles lol. Unfortunately it's saddening I can't get any sequel and I sure as hell am not buying a PSP to play it.

The Valkyria 3 trailer looks great. Love the music and tone of it. Shame that it's wasted on the PSP. Give us PS3 owners our game back, Sega!
